I'd try and steal Malcolm Thomas from the bulls summer league team. Kid rebounds well, finishes around the rim and is an ideal fit in our defensive scheme with his foot speed and athleticism.

I think this is correct. I think Oden wants to play here but his people are doing everything they can to grt him the mml. I'm guessing Riley has offered more than the min, perhaps a 2 year starting at $2m, explaining the tax ramifications to Oden's people and telling them if they get a legit mml offer, to give the heat one last chance to consider using the full, hence the auditions. But now Riley is sick of waiting and is putting pressure on Oden to get nervous with this Camby threat and have oden push his people to take the deal on the table.

I rly hope this is the case lol, because that is what i think Oden is worth right now. I would not mind giving him a 2 mil deal for 2 years. Even a player option for the 2nd year. Idc, but I said it from the start, hes not worth the fill mmle. But i think a team will eventually give it to him and the heat will have to decide if they are willing to shell out that money.

I don't think pat is going to give any guaranteed deals more than 1 year, that could be whats going on. I can see us going 2 years 6mil, with a team option for year 2. We need all the cap space we can get for next summer.

Malcolm Thomas is as soft as you get, can't really help us, he sucked really hard in the Israeli league and in Europe.
