Those are the shots he didn't really have a lot in this summer league, and the ones he will be living off of in the NBA - and the quality of those shots will just get better with him not being a first option and benefiting from kickouts and the attention other people, namely DeMarcus, draw.

Speaking of Demarcus, this is where things might get tricky as far as Thornton and McLemore go. If Thornton starts (probable) then Ben probably won't see much time playing alongside DMC. Gotta hope that Landry and Isaiah can draw enough attention to allow Ben to not be the focal point of the opposing defenses, otherwise he might have a lot of summer league-esque performances.

I also hope that Landry learned to pass so that he can kick it out to Ben but that is for another thread...

Since this team hasn't made any moves that suggest trying to win every game and stifling development in the process is the goal, I'm hoping they try out Vasquez, Thornton, and McLemore together. In totality that should be a decent amount of size and Vasquez can handle some SF's depending on matchups.

I keep forgetting about GV's height, is defending the SF something that he has done before?

Hey Sacramento fans, Raptors fan here. I am in a dynasty style fantasy league, and our draft is coming up soon. I have the 4th pick, and I believe that Mclemore will be available. What have your opinions been of him? Does he look like he has all-star potential? What are his handles, rebounding, and playmaking skills? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

M16's handles are weak now and until they get better, he is only a high-end-ish role player that can score with massive amounts of 3PTers and transition buckets.

I wouldn't expect many assists from him despite of him being not selfish though.

What to expect this season:

Unless Marcus Thornton lays an egg in training camp and/or M16 improved dramatically from now to pre-season, I do NOT see M16 as the starting SG for this team. He will probably be used as a spark plug off the bench ala floor spacer throughout the season.

Thanks a lot! What about long-term projections- will he eventually become a 20 PPG scorer? I know you have not had many games to judge, but do you believe he will become a great fantasy player down the line?

I'm glad SL is finshed. The most over-hyped and over-analyzed part of the off season. SL means squat come pre-season. That is all.

Well hopefully Mike Malone doesn't employ the "Keith Smart substitution theory" and actually staggers some bench players with some starters still in. Like, you know, the entire league does.
