Nick was my first ever favorite player, and I was looking forward to picking him just now. I think the guy I'm going to pick had a better prime, but my love of Nick was going to make me look past that and pick him anyways.

That's funny because Nick and Artest were the ones I was trying to decide between.

Surprised the premier big men (KAJ, Wilt and Shaq) went as late as 4, 5 and 6. I would've picked any of them if I had a top 3 pick, because it's so much easier to build a team around a dominant center in these types of drafts.

It's obviously very nice to have a player like Magic or Kobe on the team, but I think it's easier to fill the guard spots in later rounds than the center or power forward spots.

will do the same if i get higher draft place, but Lakers depth in bigs so wide compared to guards.

Sure, but it's a significant drop opp from those 3 as building blocks for a team to the next level of Laker big men in my opinion. You could still get a pretty good guard like Eddie Jones or Mitch Richmond later on, and those kinds of players were pretty good in their prime as long as you can use the non-Lakers years of their careers.

Even though I consider Magic and Kobe the two greatest Lakers of all time, I think it's more difficult to build balanced teams around them.

Will be nice to see the completed rosters!

**** you KB89 for taking Ron, he was going to be my next pick. Still like the way my squad is shaping up, need to draft an elite defensive wing with my next pick though.

He can be had, for the small price of Kobe Bryant. You know you want to help reunite Shaq and Kobe
