I don't think Teletovic and Ty Taylor are awesome bench players, but I do think they're respectable end of the bench guys. They're certainly as good as Krav and Middleton or Siva. The nets bench does drop off significantly between the 'really good player' tier and the 'bench-level' tier, but my point was that they can afford to play one or two of their end of the bench guys for 20+ minutes per night because of the quality of players that would play around them.

Here's what I mean. Assume the bad luck scenario in which KG and Lopez are both hurt. They let Blatche and Evans start, have AK as their first big off the bench. They need another big to play some minutes, so they choose between whoever of Shenglia, Teletovic, and Plumlee look best in practice. None of these guys may be ready for big minutes in the NBA, but if you play them alongside Deron, JJ, Pierce, etc, all they have to do is fulfill a simple role. Plumlee can crash boards and be energetic on d, Teletovic can spot up and help on d, etc. They don't need their deep bench to create or sustain the offense, they already have a ton of guys who can do that pretty well (we have one--Greg Monroe).
