Confidence is a good thing. Just know that too much of anything is detrimental to one's health.

Cuz is probably currently the most skilled big on the roster, but if I was looking to build a competitive team going forward id have to rank them....

1. Drummond
2. Favors
3. Davis
4. Sanders
5. Monroe
6. Faried
7. Cousins
8. Jordan

Favors and Davis is a close call imo, but I worry about Davis' ability to stay on the court consistently at his size.

Monroe is a bad help defender. His man defense is pretty good though.

Didn't Cousins lead the league in charges drawn last year or the year before? That's something (but is he a flopper?). Still, I feel that Drummond is already a far better defender.

Just a point of reference, Anthony Davis ACTUALLY MADE THE OLYMPIC TEAM in 2012. Confidence is one thing, but arrogance is another. To walk into an off-year mini-camp surrounded by so many other talented players, including one who has already represented his country on the biggest stage and won an Olympic Gold Medal, and say that nobody can compete with you clearly falls into the latter category.

Or, to put it more succinctly, this guy is just a tool and I'm glad he didn't wind up on our team.

This is basically how I feel. I like Cousins a lot and would have swapped him for Monroe in a heartbeat pre-Drummond because true big bodies that can move like that are tough to find. Luckily we ended up getting a more athletic Cousins with a better attitude. I actually think Drummond can eventually play like Cousins as a face up big offensively. Big Cuz loves to use his quickness to take slow big men off the dribble and has the handles to make some decent players look stupid.

Cousins didn't back up his bravado with his play in last night's scrimmage. Drummond and Monroe were engaged and effective. The folks in the USAB program spoke glowingly about Drummond's potential and Monroe's skillset.

We're going to be ok with what we have. We will certainly be better than 10th place in the East.

Cousin's body language was horrible last night. His coach pulled him, it seems angrily in the 4th quarter when Drummond was outplaying and outhustling him. (Dre makes a lot of players look slow, since he's unbelievable quick and agile and gets off his feet when he jumps way faster than other big men - but still...)

That was his second, and I bet his last, chance with USA basketball. He has the reputation of being a horrible teammate - one of the worst anyone ever saw and evaluated coming into the draft. And he's living up to and proving that reputation.

No chance, no way, that Coach K and USA BB wants to have this guy around.

Cousins is such an enigma. He has top big man of this decade potential but his brain is non existent.

Sac is talking about maxing him, I dont know if I could do that if I was Sac. I dont think Sac will ever get anything out of him. I doubt we ever see him become what he could become because he will never get out of his own way but for even an outside shot of it, he needs a coach like Popovich.

That's the thing with Cousins; talented enough to be the best big in the league but too immature and dumb to actually maximize his potential. As I have said many a time, I wouldn't want him anywhere near the Pistons and I wouldn't be surprised if Team USA comes to the same conclusion
