I definitely agree with you, that would be a dream scenario. But if one them settled for the min it had to be Oden 'cause Neal is restricted and i'm hearing SA will match anything within the 3m range.

I think we're probably going to give Oden the mmle, and if we can include a Team Option for next year that'd be fantastic.

Mo Will - I don't know if he's on good terms with LBJ, but for the vet min or a little bit more would be a nice add.

DeJuan Blair - We almost traded for him once. I think he's a UFA. Would be more useful than Camby IMO.

Kenyon Martin - Looked fine with the Knicks. But not signed yet, strange...

Lamar Odom - There's only five teams in the world where Lamar plays good and one of those is Miami.
LAMAR and KLOE take MIAMI... again.

Mike Miller - Oh, wait.. :(

Timofey Mozgov - Restricted, wants money, and minutes..

Tyrus Thomas - Overweight. Probably ends up with the Knicks.

Ronnie Brewer - Good D, but a liability on offense. If he could shoot 3's, would be perfect.

Beno Udrih - We could use him for a 3rd PG. I think he's a pass-first (I think so, he racked up a lot of assists when Jameer went down last season) and he could be useful when LBJ goes to the bench.
That lineup that starts the 2nd quarter is just awful to watch.

Drew Gooden - Is he useful? Haven't watched him play in a long time. Maybe Bron likes him from the CLE days, don't know.

Hedo Turkoglu - No, gracias.

Marcus Camby - 2011-2012 Camby would be a very good add, even more than Oden. 2012-2013 Camby i'd avoid. For a cheerlead... oops mentoring role I prefer Juwan Howard. 8-)

I think that we could still end up having a very good offseason.

So... IN RILEY I TRUST.

neal is unrestricted

Never in my life would I have expected to see the words overweight and Tyrus Thomas in the same sentence.

Don't see Neal signing for the minimum, and if we're dangling the MMLE, I'd prefer a guy like Mo Williams more.

Surprised some of you are so down on Neal. He's a great shooter with decent handles and the ability to create for himself. He could do a lot of the same things Ray Allen does for us once Allen is retired. We need to add pieces that can hang around into '14-'15 and beyond.

Worst case scenario, Neal is an experienced and proven shooter that fits in at our thinnest position. He can play the Miller role. But it's important to keep in mind, our only 2 SGs are both risky propositions. Wade can't stay healthy and Allen is ancient. A little insurance would be welcomed.

Give me Neal and either Oden or Camby and it's a good offseason.

Spoelstra, Heat executive scout Tuesday workout by free-agent center Greg Oden http://bit.ly/1631kp7 with Heat one of six finalists.

now there's 6.. goddammit I hate free agency and the confusion it brings..
I just hope Oden doesn't start eliminating teams publicly like Howard did.. lol

Yep. Say enough stuff and you'll get right a few times and appear in the "know".

I wouldn't say he has the ability to create for himself but he can get his jumper off in the blink of an eye which is very noteworthy. I'd definitely be happy if we could nab a guy like Gary Neal especially if it comes at a relatively low price tag.

Greg Oden, Gary Neal, and Dejuan Blair would be the perfect offseason in my opinion.

Mo Williams: Utah Jazz guard Mo Williams has no shortage of suitors, but what he does not have is a long list of big-dollar offers.
Williams is said to be weighing a number of scenarios, but is holding out hope that a solid multi-year offer will come his way.
Williams has told friends in the league that if the offers don’t improve, he may opt for a one-year deal for a contending team like Miami, who has expressed interest.
Unfortunately for Williams, the market doesn’t have a ton of money left and those teams with cash to spend are not teams Williams is actively considering.
There is no doubt that Williams lands somewhere, but the question is which would-be contender gets his services and how much will that cost them?

only way we get all 3 is if we sign both neal and oden to a the min since blair's market value is the mmle. Which is extremely unlikely, but yeah, u can dream

I don't care what anyone says, Mo would improve this team. Norris can spend this season mostly on the bench. It's fine.

Here's where I currently stand with the roster ideally

Chalmers / Williams / Cole
Wade / Allen
James / Ennis / Jones
Haslem / Battier / Lewis
Bosh/ Andersen / Oden / Varnado

You may notice a certain Canadian missing. Through all the optimism in the wake of Riley's exit interview, Ira continued to predict Miller would be amnestied and Joel traded. The former has happened, and I wouldn't be surprised for the latter to soon follow. I put Varnado, whom I view as Joel 2.0, in his spot since I believe it'll be a camper taking it.

Too bad about Clark. Would've loved to have him in Miami. I actually think it's better to wait to see what shakes out of training camp before signing a notorious choker like Mo. This team is all about big, championship moments. We need guys who can deliver in the postseason, or that we can develop for the future.
