The man never seemed fully in control of the ball, nor was he ever out of control. His forays into the lane were often punctuated with a jump stop and second leap filled with evasive contortions to finally release a shot.

This chaos theory solidly made Stormin’ Norman one of the NBA’s best point guards in the 1970s even if his barbarian at the gates routine never made him King of Cincinnati.
