He deserves credit for (after 7 seasons in the NBA) finally putting in the off-season work to get in shape, for finally listening to his coaches (or for deciding on his own) to change his shot selection and be more efficient on offense. Everyone knew he had talent. But, it wasn't until he was facing the possibility of his NBA career ending with a whimper that he got around to putting in the work necessary to make use of that talent.
Good for him. Good for the Nets. The Wizards made the right call in dumping him. They should never have given him that stupid extension, which they're going to continue paying off for the next couple years.
