This news sucks. We need to add another player now. What do we need? who do you want?

We don't even know how serious it is. I could be a precautionary measure. In fact, the Nets may have found out and are forcing him to miss the rest of the tournament to be safe.

I'd like to hear more details about the injury before worrying about a replacement player.

Did anyone really see Toko getting that many minutes this season? I wouldn't fault anyone to think he'd be in a suit with either Tyshawn or Plumlee so I don't think it's absolutely urgent the Nets pick up another player solely because of this.

I dont want this to be taken the wrong way but I almost hope he misses the season. The Nets should have left him Europe for a couple of years to develop.

I like Toko but like you said, I dont think he was going to contribute much even if healthy. I think the Nets are better off getting a vet who can contribute if needed since we have an older team. It appears the Nets didnt want to go 15 deep so Toko going down opens up a roster spot they werent going to use.

What team actually goes 15 deep?

At best, you have an 11-12 man rotation for the regular season and then you shorten it for the playoffs.

Those last 3 slots are garbage time eaters/season cheerleaders.

If we're relying on 13th or 14th man to save us, something went horribly wrong during the season.

Toko would have been used if Pierce gets rest games against lottery teams. I'm sure Kidd would use AK and Toko as his SF rotation. Joe may be younger but his minutes has to be monitored as well after those two clowns for coaches made him play 38-40 minutes alot last season.

So, It isn't too out of the ordinary to go 15 deep in a regular season since the Spurs do it and we will most likely do it to avoid injuries, fatigue on veterans.

We are a rare team. We need as much depth as possibel.
- KG and Pierce are unlikely to go the 2nd half of back to backs. Plus they are likely to have a few games missed due to minor injuries

- JJ and Lopez have chronic foot problems.

- DWill is always hurting his wrist.

We need the extra bodies because I dont count Plumlee, Toko, or Mirza as players ready to give us big minutes.

Minor loss if he is out for us and should be an easy replacement.

Wonder why this is why he looked like he lacked explosiveness during SL.

A day before getting surgery, he's in the gym shooting. Love that work ethic.
