Daniel Orton / Thabeet Future Contributors?

Hey outsider here. Orton looked good in SL, any chance you guys envision him and/or Thabeet carving out a spot in the rotation this season?

Yes but still would make no sense to draft Adams and let guys just as raw as him to take playing time away from him.

Only one of them will get into the rotation early i suppose. Hopefully by all star break Adams might get some minutes as well.

One of Orton or Thabeet will be gone. As well as everyone on the team likes Thabeet I think Orton has the higher ceiling..and fits better in a PF/ C role that could fit in on small ball or normal rotations.

I think all the minutes for the Center position are up in the air right now. Of Perk, Adams, Thabeet, and Orton, a combination of two of these guys will get to play 30 - 36 min. With Ibaka and Collison rounding out the other 12 - 18 min.

The only thing set in stone is that Ibaka, Durant, and Westbrook are the starters and Stars of this team.

I think Thabo starting at SG is about as close to set in stone as it gets...

Hell, with Brooks still sitting on the sidelines Perkins will start every game this year as well.

If we have learned anything from the Thunders history it is that consistency is a key value. RW, TS, KD, SI, KP as a starting lineup...no doubts.

RJ, JL, DF, NC will be the rest of the short 9 man rotation with a big, PJ, HT, DO, SA being a foul replacement.

Well... signing Roberson to an 80% deal means that keep Orton and not go over the luxury cap threshold (because I think we were only going to be over by like 30k keeping Orton and giving Roberson 120%). That could be helpful, especially with as good as everyone was saying Orton looked in summer league.
