yes I do. he's a giant man and the USA need big centers to go cancel some of the world's biggest centers. is a fantastic talent and one of the best shot blockers in the world. I'll bet anything he's on the very short list and that the USA will be grooming him to be ready by the Olympics

He had 13 and 6 in only 11 minutes. I don't have the whole boxscore, but I think that's more than any other Center produced. Monroe only had 10 and 6 and played more minutes. I think both looked like the two best Centers in the game. Both teams seemed at their best when they were in, and a noticeable decline at times without them. Great showing for both.

I was impressed with anthony davis and his shooting and kyrie plaed really well, I think greeg and drummond have a leginament shot at making the team.

Iam suprised alot of the teams would let some of there players particapate,guys like irving,wall,davis,with their injurys last year you would think owner would be more cautious.

Dont confuse injurys with proper tanking methods.

He was delusional, his head is what will keep him from ever being great. He has stuffing for brains.

Monroe, Davis, Faried & Drummond were all better than him.

Impressed with Anthony Davis's improved jump shot. Hes skin & bones so that was a must for him, I doubt he ever is a physical player with a back to the basket game. Marcus Camby was always the clear comparison, clearly already a better shooter though.

Drummond had 11 points/6 boards/2 blocks in 9 minutes

Not sure why Cousins was going on about him not being challenged when he was clearly one of the worst bigs out there, he was lazy as hell. I doubt he makes the World Team much less the Olympics with his lackadaiscal attitude.

Moose gets the blue team off to an early lead with good defense, efficient offense, and hard work on the boards.
Drummond gives effort in limited minutes and proves to be an engaged presence on the floor.

I hope what they've learned and the ways they've improved increases during the season in Detroit.

Yeah, Greg looked pretty sound defensively.

As I said last season, Greg took a lot of (underserved) heat for his defense last season. He is a solid man to man and post defender but a poor help defender. Last year, we had Calderon, Bynum, Singler, Daye, CV as fixtures in the regular rotation- all of whom would routinely get beat on defense so the C would have to cover- the problem is that Monroe is not a good help defender, so he took the heat for our perimeter players getting killed on defense.

With Greg sandwiched between Smith and Drummond- his perceived defense problems wont be nearly as bad this upcoming season especially if he's taken strides to improve his defense even further.

Greg looked great last night. I hope that USA BB keeps him around, since playing with that amazing group of talent can do nothing but up the level of his game.

On the other hand, I'm predicting now that Drummond is THE big man that USA BB wants to groom. A. Davis is also going to be a great player in this league, and a staple of USA BB down the road - although since we've already got guys like LeBron and Melo and Durant that do all the things offensively Davis can do (and a lot better), Davis won't be the highest priority for the big man position. He is too easily knocked out of the post, since he's Austin Daye skinny and weak. Drummond is the only young big man who you could project to go up against Euro monsters like Gasol and Val. He's really kind of a missing quality for USA BB, unless you plug Howard into that position. But even with Dwight on the team, you've got to plan for injuries - and I think that means having at least one other defensive and rebounding monster on the team.

Drummond is 19 and showed up beautifully in his first audition for USA BB this week. He's going to be an unreal player. The only USA player I can see that might challenge him is DeAndre Jordan, but that guy is already 25 years old, and frankly does not have anywhere near Dre's upside. Howard will have a spot if he wants one, unfortunately (because I hate that clown). Hibbert? perhaps, but why isn't he here now. Lopez? he's also 25 and very injury prone. He's also not a great rebounder or defender, and that's why USA would want Dre. Frankly, I cannot imagine the team building evaluators NOT seeing that Drummond projects to be exactly what team USA needs. There is nobody on the horizon or currently in the program who compares well to him, at least as insurance behind Howard if he plays - and Howard has already had one back surgery, so I could see him shutting it down in the summers to give his body a rest.

Will they put him on the team as early as 2014 and 2016? I think they will.

Jordan is competition for Drummond if we're talking about athleticism. If we are focused on game impact there is no comparison. Drummond out rebounds and out hustles Jordan. Defense wise Drummond is on level. Drummond guards the paint and harasses perimeter players.

Drummond could end up in the Olympics. I think Moose may win a spot on next year's team.

Seeing Drummond in the USA uniform, I started thinking of what he must feel, putting on the same uniform as the legendary Dream Team. Then I googled Dream Team and Andre Drummond and realized he was 1 year old when the Dream Team played in the Olympics. God, I feel old now.

As for these tryouts, I don't really care what happens, but it's a great experience for both Monroe and Drummond. They get to spend some time with some of the best bigs in the leagues, showing what they've got and improving their games. I kind of hope they don't get picked...Put some fire in their belly and reduces the chance of offseason injuries, wear & tear, etc.
