If his growth plates were still open at 22 then it would be a miracle. I'd still go with what you remember the drunk guy at the bar maybe said.

keeping in mind he also posted this on another board.

I was told that the #8 was offered for Evan Turner around the draft last year, and PHI said no. Evan Turner was later offered for Barnes and the Warriors turned it down immediately.

it would appear to be more troll than fact.

Apparently Masiri, the GM for Toronto, has a list with all of the Long Beach player's real ages. I was talking to one of their scouts about Muhammad age, but it was after a couple beers, so I can't remember what he said exactly, but I think he said it was 25.

Here's the email I was in copy of while setting up dinner and a visit to a beer garden with a few execs from the Magic, Heat, Raptors (and Sixers, Celtics, Pelicans, who aren't named here). They were all in Prague to scout the U-19 FIBA tournament.

It's amazing that people will craft a weird, accusatory backstory about someone that delivers info they don't like in an effort to deny something they don't want to hear.

Fact is the plausibility of your initial story is very far fetched. You started off saying Ujiri has a list of ALL African players and he basically got paid $3M for it. How many players from Africa are in the league? I wouldn't pay a person $1M in total sum for such a list. It's cool you get to hangout with these guys. I am a math major and would love to be able to take my talents to the NBA one day. Fact remains, you presented a story with very little facts (you think his age is 25) show us an email with some names blurred out. It doesn't change the fact we simply don't believe anyone has a list of all player's ages.

On Biyombo, he looks very young, and is slightly immature at times. This is about as much fact as you have provided.

On Barnes, there are probably a lot of scouts who think Barnes will be a stud, and many people here as well. He wasn't a highly touted prospect for nothing. He has a lot to work on his game to get to that level though. You are talking to some on here that follow ACC and UNC basketball closely, so you can tell your friends that until he tightens up his handles, and do something other than spot up and score. He will remain at best a 3rd option. Plus Evan Turner at this point isn't very good, so it's a no-brainer to say no to that trade. Teams usually value their own young talent at a premium over others.

So several things:
1. Why is microsoft publisher open?
2. why would you have emailed these guys an hour before tge meetup time.
3. Why are these emails so vague and inspecific???

Im no scientist, but these look pretty fake all things considered.

Biz may be older than listed but it really doesn't change what type of player he is. Obviously I hope he's closer to 20 than 25. Still he's probably my favorite player just due to his work ethic and intelligence.

what in the hell am I reading? I can look at biz and tell he is a baby, but the serious question is why does Ujiri give a **** how old Biz is? what does he keep a file of all scrub ass African players and their ages?

It's an advantage when it comes to assessing player personnel moves.

If most NBA GM's think that Biyombo is 21, they'll value him higher than if he is actually 25. Knowing his actual age will figure into how much upside he has left.

I didn't hear many other Bobcats rumors, but it was funny listening to them talk about Nerlens Noel. The Sixers scout really liked him and was talking him up, the Boston exec and another exec apparently had red flagged him after checking out his knee and seeing some pretty substantial issues. The Sixers scout was shocked. He immediately started to question the new doctor they'd hired after firing the doctor who gave the green light to Bynum. So Noel could well be an injury case.

I heard some other very interesting stuff, but there was so much being talked about that I wouldn't know where to start.

Because that works better than emailing them 5 minutes before or afterwards?

I honestly don't know why I even check this thread anymore. This idiot has caused such an uproar. It's probably Colangelo getting back at us for making fun of him all of these years.
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere

I wouldn't care if Biyombo was 21 or 41 if he was a half decent basketball player.

fatlever wrote:i will leave it at this... i dont know how old biyombo is and i am not sure anyone other than his family knows for certain his age. however, i dont think anyone in the NBA has a better educated guess to his age than rich cho and the bobcats. they have spent 3 years with him and know more about him than anyone. if he is 20, the cats have a good idea. if he is 22, the cats have a good idea. and if he is 25, the cats have a good idea.

and if he is 25, I doubt we would have drafted him considering the long project we expect him to be.

I already saw this one some other thread, but it definitely deserves to be posted here.

I just hope he's working on his game as much as he is his body. Okafor was notorious for staying in tip top shape doing yoga and such and not working on his game as much as he should
