This is exactly why he'd likely cost somewhere in the range of 6 years 90M (Adam Jones type money).

I'd rather trade him than end up trading away Reyes+ to make room for him.

We are already likely over budget for next season before we even sign Johnson.


And on Jose, I'd trade him in a heartbeat. Not because he is a bad player, but rather the opposite. He is near peak value on a team friendly extension.

As you can see in my signature, I've been for trade Bautista for some time. I thought Bautista for Mike Trout and Kendrick was a fair deal, before everybody trashed me. Anyways, I doubt anybody thinks the same now.
