Re: Jennings for Granger
I think it's time for a George Hill thread.

Re: Jennings for Granger
I ripped Brandon Jennings here pretty hard, and some defended him, but there's a reason why he's still a free agent. On top of that, I saw this, and I thought of this thread.

Re: Jennings for Granger
^^^ Those numbers are predicated from Brandon trying to be a number one scoring option. Let me be clear, if BJ played here he would not play the same style because Lance, Paul, David, Roy, etc. would not allow it. This could lead to chemistry issues so it ultimately might not be worth the risk, even though he is a better pg.
At this point the only way to upgrade the 1 is to package Hill/Stephenson/ *Fut 1st for Rondo. Any other pg. available now is a lateral move at best.
* (2016 1st would be contingent on RR resigning.) In this scenario, two seasons from now we will have 27 -28 mill available. More than enough to resign Rajon and revamp or retain the bench too.

Re: Jennings for Granger
You're right. He really was trying to be the #1 option. Even though he wasn't (Monta Ellis?) That's yet another problem.
I'm glad to see NBA GM's agree with me on this, I was curious how he would be treated. Seeing something in Jennings just looks to me like 'grass is greener on the other side'. My family is from Wisconsin. I have an interest in keeping tabs. I've seen him play a lot. Maybe you just caught his good days?

You can hope that, but it's not likely. He's never played a team game in 20 years. Why now? Because we think our guys are better than that? Sure, they are. But that doesn't mean Brandon would respond. I'd bet that he's more likely to go Tinsley on us; active sabotage and lackluster will

Jennings is a volume shooter and needs to be a 2nd or 3rd option to keep him mentally checked into the game, he would be 4th or 5th on our current team.
We are fine at point guard, Hill fits perfectly with our system, culture and personnel. Ask Greg Popovich or Frank Vogel who they would rather have.
