I think Jennings will probably have a good year next year. On top of him playing for a contract...

He was also playing for a contract last season. Let's not underestimate this guys mental makeup.

Best breakdown I have seen of Jennings. The last guy in the NBA who should be putting on a camp, absolutely pathetic Toronto.
Their new GM apparently is not an idiot like Colangelo, he won't be trading for Jennings. It's no surprise Gay and DeRozan have been involved in trade rumors.

I don't agree. Gay is, as you say, a 6'9" small forward. Ellis is a 6'3" SG/PG. Gay is supposed to be able to score more efficiently than Ellis. As you pointed out, he doesn't really do that.

remember this is a win now scenario and there are few moves bucks could make as positively impactful as this

I don't understand why people think acquiring bad players with big names is a 'win-now" move. It's a lose-now move, if anything. We've found that out recently with Richard Jefferson, Stephen Jackson, Monta Ellis...

The way to win now (or in the future) is to acquire good players. It seems obvious to me but a lot of people seem to think there are other ways.

I am holding it against whoever is shallow enough to help him do a camp, a terrible example for kids on and off the court.
Impressionable kids will go to his camp think he's cool, then watch him play and they think that is the right way to play.
He's from the LA area and the Lakers or Clippers won't even give up peanuts to roll the dice on him he is such a bad apple.

bucks have done a good job with this situation, often times teams overpay these types of players. BJ has talent, just doesn't seem to work on his game, there will be a sucker out there that will gamble on his talent, just have to be patient and get him signed to a decent contract. this is right up the knicks alley ;)

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Thinking about how the bucks **** again in this offseason I actually want Jennings to come back, if:

He still sucks,

and

Doesn't completely alienate Sanders or Henson or Bo development.

He always (except maybe in 2011/2012) was a net negative for the team, and the reasons we didn't went top 6 in the lotery is because Skiles was good of making bums have a shot at the 8 seed.

Actually that is skiles main skill. He can overachieve with a bunch of bums, with his D, making 20 win talent type teams win in the high 30, but he isnt good at developing players and he isn't good at doing he next step since he is so atrotious in Offense and he sucks with in game adjustments and man-managment.

Maybe we can sign Brad Jennings. A few years ago he was pretty good with a lot of potential.

I'm saying a TS% of .514 is going to be relatively easy for him to surpass as well as some other numbers and if he does it will look like a breakout season for him.

Even if he gets 18pts at .525 with continued improvement in his assist categories (say 6.7 ast and 30.0 ast%) his overall trend numbers will look great.

I assume if goes with qo and gets them, he's gone and since I believe he can achieve those marks with drew, I'd prefer to bring him back.

If it was so easy, he'd do it every year.

When Jennings was a rookie they had some corporate people announce their names on opening night. One woman told everyone to stand up and give a hand to Brad Jennings.

Idk if it was posted but earlier tonight Kurt Helin of NBC tweeting an article stating Jennings is seriously considering just taking the QO. He is getting no interest in the market but is set on 12M/year whereas Bucks highest offer is likely in 8M/year range. Neither side is currently budging.

It's been a while. Where is Jennings? Where is his offer sheet? If he's so coveted, he should go out and get an offer! Good players get offers, even if the other team will likely match.

Jennings is eating some crow right now

If we're offering him $8 mil/yr, then we're dumber than I thought. And that's saying something.
