What a Joke.

Bosh is a soft ass big man in the paint.

Bosh last year at the rim was a 75% shooter. Asik was 60%. 3-9 feet: Bosh:39% Asik:27% And don't forget that Bosh has one of the best mid range percentages period in the NBA at 53% from 16-23 ft. His defense was pretty valuable in the Finals as well. Asik is definitely an excellent rebounder but his whole game wouldn't improve this team if he were to replace Bosh.

1) What is Bosh's stats vs a team that has a legit big man? Hibbert, Duncan, etc. Bosh is just fine when we don't play a legit big man team. When we do though, he's a scrub.

2) Does Asik play with LeBron/Wade or does he play with.... Harden? Who is going to get better open looks at the rim? Look at what Birdman has done around the rim. Bosh can't.

3) If you don't understand why I mentioned LeBron/Wade vs Harden, then you don't know basketball.

4) Our biggest weakness is teams driving into the paint and finishing around the rim. Indiana did it. Spurs did it. If anyone gets past our perimeter defense, it's 2pts. Or they could just do what Indiana did, and just throw up anything at the rim, and their bigs will get the offensive rebound for the easy putback.

If you would like to relieve some pressure off of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade's perimeter defense, then we need Interior Defense and rebounding.

The simple fact that our defense + rebounding would be majorly upgraded would NULLIFY any stupid "Bosh's midrange game" or "Bosh can shoot a 3pter" arguments. We need Interior D and Rebounding more than we need Bosh's scoring, WHICH BY THE WAY, Bosh's scoring goes M.I.A. vs teams with a legit big man.

If you don't understand why Bosh is a better fit with LeBron and Wade than Asik is then you don't know basketball.

18 yrs old? 19? Don't care, with a stupid ass post like that with no explanation, you aren't important. I posted reasons, you posted a soundbite. When does school start again? Ignored.

I don't really need to back up my claims when the fact the Heat have won back to back titles with this formula has done it for me. You are so enamored with one category that you ignore the rest. Bosh is 10x the better fit with how the team is structured that it isn't worth wasting a hypothetical of it Asik was the teams center.

"Juice" Skolnick was just on 790. Said he's hearing Oden's decision probably coming today or tomorrow.

Good rebuttal. Let me guess, stats are biased when they don't support your claims.

For the talk of the decision being in Riley's hands:

Remember, this is a financial decision if we're talking about whether we offer him more money. Which means its in Micky's hands, not Pat's, just like the Mike Miller thing. If it were up to Pat, we'd have kept Mike AND signed Oden to MMLE.

For the talk of Bosh vs Asik:

We already had a locked thread on that, this one is about Oden. If you want to talk about how Asik is better than Bosh, take it to the PC board.

Btw, can you imagine if back in 2008, someone told you our team would include Wade, Chris Bosh, LeBron James, Ray Allen and Greg Oden?

Im getting excited.

Ethan is probably the most trustworthy name covering the Heat. he was the one that first broke the decison about Miller too.

If he said something like that, im betting he got it from someone important on the Heat.

Not to Jinx anything, but im 95% sure we get Oden by tomorow.
