this link says our qualifying offer was only $4.3 mil. Could the Bucks have actually made Jennings a qualifying offer that low?

The qualifying offer is predetermined by his draft position the year he was drafted.

I'd offer Jennings one year, $8 million just so he can't decline a trade because he played for the q/o.

1. Jennings S&T.
1a. No Jennings.
2. Jennings on a 1 year, $8 million(ish) deal just so he can't decline a trade because of the q/o.
3. Jennings on the q/o.

My order of preference at this point.

1. Jennings 3/$24 or 4/$32
2. Jennings S&T
3. Jennings on the q/o
4. Let Jennings walk

I want Jennings gone. I don't think Jennings can be the starting PG for a Championsip caliber team

Jennings wants respect and to be paid like an max star player and that's his problem. I say give him the QO and see what he can do with this newer team. If he can't produce then send him back to Cali so he can play with his idol poo poo Kobe.

I'd really like to know what is running through Brandon's head atm.

Love the fact Bone and his cronies are staying strong with this.

I lean more "no" to giving him an extension, but I don't know if having him on the QO is the best option either. He can veto trades and who knows what his attitude will be into camp, I would think he is going to do his best to up his free agent value --- which go either way as far as helping the team. I think the best case scenario is that he is not here.

If we're offering him $8 mil/yr, then we're dumber than I thought. And that's saying something.

It's dumb to not overpay Jennings?

OK!

If thats the bar then I want most of our team gone, but you're right we should do a S&T with the Heat for Chalmers.

He'd still be able to decline a deal. That provision is for one year contracts after which the team will have bird rights, because if you're traded on a one year deal, your rights don't go with you.

I have no idea why anyone would want Jennings back on this team. Let alone at 8 mill per year

Yeah this has been awesome. Best thing they've done so far this off-season ***** with BJs head like this.

Hopefully this is their way of getting him back for acting like a MF'er the last few seasons. He's clearly not their future as you will never win anything with a PG who's a chucker that can't shoot.

Instead of using this as a reality check of his true value I'm sure Jennings is rationalizing this by saying the Bucks told everyone they'd match so nobody's offering me anything. Whereas if he had even Holiday/Lawson talent some team would be throwing huge money at him even as a RFA.

They better not preemptively offer him a deal with no suitors knocking at his door. QO or get bent ***hole.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

23 year old PG's still have a chance to get better and he'd be movable at this figure.

I'd put 2 offers out & let him choose

3y/21mil - player option 3rd yr
OR
3y/30mil - team option 3rd yr

either way trade him at deadline
