I like the idea of signing DeJuan Blair, but I'm not a fan of Ivan Johnson on the Bobcats. Charlotte may want to invest in quality frontcourt depth in case of injury to Al Jefferson or Cody Zeller if they really want to make a playoff push, unless that's not their intentions. I know I wouldn't depend on Bismack Biyombo as a constant reserve. Biyombo needs to be groomed properly, in an environment where he has to actually earn his minutes

DeJuan Blair would have to be a small contract, I'm just not sure he can handle a full season in a large role.

As much as I would like it, I just can't see Blair coming to Charlotte for anything less than the mini MLE, so I think he's more likely to land in Washington or Chicago

Honestly, I expect him to take as little money as required for him to stay with the Spurs. Pop has mind control over all of his Debos.

in a crazy twist - stern gives seattle a team today and tells the league the sonics have 1st crack at signing all remaining free agents (RFAs included). they get full cap and are expected to hit the min salary floor. stern also tells them they have to win at least 30 games next season or they lose the franchise again. who do you sign and how many games do you think you could win.

haha, this team is awful

pg: brandon jennings (8mil)
sg: ronnie brewer (3mil)
sf: stephen jackson (4mil)
pf: dejaun blair (3mil)
c: nikola pekovic (11mil)

bench
mo williams (4mil)
lamar odom (4mil)
greg oden (3mil)
roddy beaubois (3mil)
antawn jamison (2mil)
malcom thomas (1mil)
seth curry (1mil)
cole aldrich (1mil)
louis amundson (1mil)
daequan cook (1mil)

50 mil team, could maybe get 30 wins if all the vets stay healthy. lack of shooting a huge concern.

That would be the second-worst team in the league, next to the 76ers. No chance they would win 30 games. Also on what planet is current Stephen Jackson making $4M?

Sit back and watch the 9th pick roll into our hands, I love the Pistons so much right now.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Jennings is a better Brandon than Knight

guess this closes the book on the pissy knight vs. walker arguments with the pistons fans. bobcats won that one handily.

I think DET get better with this trade. Jennings a better PG. Too bad for us.

Though, who they gonna start at SG? Stuckey or KCP? That's kinda ugly.

& w/ Top 5 in EC set, will be TOR, CLE, WAS, MIL & DET for 3 spots, and I see DET as worst of those teams.

What a weird starting 5 the Pistons will have.

The deal is reportedly 8/24.

Well I suppose it's only a matter of time before the Pistons fans come trolling on our board
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere

That'd be cute. They're the new Hawks of the EC, except not as good.

Guess it all depends on when we wanted Detroit's pick to fall to us. With such a theoretically strong draft and all the expirings we have to play with, maybe we can flip that pick into something more productive this year than next?

I'm still not exactly what the direction of the Bucks is right now, as I am sure they're fans are too.

Traded JJ for 2 second rounders

Gave Zaza a 3 year deal at 5 per

Entrusted their starting 1 to Brandon Knight

Signed Carlos Delfino back and gave OJ 3 years at 8 per (I actually liked these moves)

I just don't understand what their long-term goal is? You just finished 8th in the EC and you got arguably worse through the offseason, but you didn't commit to the rebuild when a strong draft class is coming? It's almost as if the Bucks FO is run by casual fans who see names and jump at the opportunity. I wouldn't project the Bucks to finish that strong unless Henson just comes out and dominates the frontcourt opposition all season and OJ has a better year this year than he did in Dallas

pistons are a lock for the playoffs. we will get that pick next year but it will be in the 15-18 range. not exactly what we had hoped for. still high hopes for that blazers pick though.

I'm not so sure. I still believe it will be in 10-14 range. That roster doesn't have much flow to it.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Jennings is a better Brandon than Knight

Brandon Jennings guarantees that Monroe and Drummond will see the ball far less than they should.

Jennings and Smith just won't work, and it's not like they have a mastermind coach to make it work. That team is talented, but it's going to be a trainwreck. They'll be giving us a top 16 pick for sure, I think top 12.
