don't see the pistons getting too far with him at the helm.
i do love drummond though
they've officially become a treadmill team imo
Well, Jennings shot 39,9% and Knight shot 40,7%. Not that much of the difference and upside is rather on Jennings' side, ain't it? 8 mil per season is pretty accurate if you ask me. The trade was worth the risk for the Pistons.
My point was that this doesn't help Detroit much and with this trade they've paved the road to mediocrity.
Don't get me wrong - I am not a big fan of Josh Smith or Jennings. I place a lot of emphasis on efficiency. Not a huge fan of the fit but it will make them a playoff team...
But I'm not sure I would label them a treadmill team. They have movable assets. Monroe will get moved and holds a lot of value around the league. Jennings is only on a 8 mill per deal and can get moved as well if need be. Young players? Drummond WILL be a star. His potential is limitless. KCP IMO is probably one of the most underrated lotto picks of this past draft. Singler, despite being an old rook, had a nice year as well.
Not sure we can label them as a treadmill team before their young guys haven't even began to develop.. If the Pistons didn't have Drummond/KCP (or if I wasn't high on them esp. Drum) I would agree they are a treadmill team. But this is a team right now with a lot of movable pieces and young players in a weak eastern conference. The next James Harden/Dwight Howard/etc. situation that pops up I will expect them to be in talks like the Rockets.
