You say that as if streaky Meeks or Blake who is often injured (twice last year) and whose whole laker career bar two months has sucked to the point Fisher and Sessions were by noticeably better.

If Wes just watched and imitated Matt Barnes in la, he would be in the rotation easily

i understand your frustration with how blake played under phil and brown, but i think the lakers should and will look at how he plays under the current coach, and what we saw was very encouraging.

as far as meeks, compared to johnson, meeks is doing alright.

But it was still basically 2 months for 4mil. He missed half the year, balled, and then got hurt again and missed the playoffs. I just don't see a reason to pay that price if you're the lakers and a team with cap offer you 2nd rounders and a 4m TPE you can hold for next summer, same for Hill

Hill is more likely to be moved due to not being a MDA big and coming in 2nd is Blake

I really don't think roles and responsibilities are that important to this team. I could see the FO adding a Vet Min player or 2 and just letting them play for a while to see how things shape up.
If a trade is needed, maybe they wait until it gets closer to the deadline and see what happens.

Lol next year well have plenty of damn cap space believe u me. If there was a realistic chance of signing melo and Lebron than perhaps you'd have a point but seeing as how that's extremely unlikely you shouldn't worry about losing the full MLE or cap.

How do u figure? Johnson had a much better season than Meeks did and put up much better numbers than the abysmally pathetic ones Meeks did when starting.

meeks was drastically more efficient, had a better PER, had a better ORTG, DRTG, less turnover prone, lower usage rate...there's really nothing to justify the idea that johnson had a better season

I never said Anything about flexibility or even making a trade or signing that would have an affect on next years cap. Gortat and/or Ariza are players we could potentially (and should be, honestly) trade for this year and id much rather we do that than trading said guys for cap space.

Lol. 8ppg 39%fg 35% 3fg (nearly all of them being open) 2rpg. Numbers starting 7.7ppg 3rpg 2apg 1spg 31%fg 26% 3fg 34mpg in 10 games starting.

Johnson 8ppg 41%fg 32%3fg 2.5rpg .4bpg. 13.4ppg 4rpg 1spg .5bpg 43%fg 32%3fg 29mpg in 21 games starting. Idk what numbers you're looking at but u don't need advanced stats to figure out this one.

Meeks was on of the first player I've seen who's numbers were so drastically worse(bad) starting and playing significantly more minutes relative to when coming off the bench and fewer min. How he managed to average less ppg starting and playing 34mpg is beyond me

not sure. as some already pointed out, let's ride with what we have then decide before on or before the deadline. I'm just excited to have a group of players where all 13 (as of the moment) either:

a) wants to play as a Laker
b) gives you 100% effort in everything else even if they suck in the area/s where they should be specializing in
c) not a diva and will accept whatever role he'll be given

reasons why I'm excited for this team and optimistic for this group of guys. expecting no more drama and all basketball.

Jordan Hill could probably get moved for a first rounder from a contender like in the Indy-Phoenix Scola trade.
