The Finest Moments of the 2012-13 season

Post#1 » by LikeABosh » Tue Jul 30, 2013 6:38 pm

This off-season has been pretty slow so I'd like to take a step back and observe all the wonderful moments that happened during the 12-13 season. Vote on which moment was your favorite and if you think something is missing, feel free to post it.

Note: I will be excluding the Finals considering it's obvious game 6/7 were our finest moments.

1. Miami @ Cleveland - 27 point comeback

Another one of those "Heat shouldn't have been down x points in the first place" games. I remember being really pissed of during the first half - "Of course, it's gonna be Cleveland that ends our win streak " A few drinks later and before I knew it, we were on our way to 52-26 run to end the game. Heh, how about that? Even the Cav fans loved it. "Lebron 2014 Please Come Back" - let's hope not

General Board reaction: Jordan would have never been down 27 against a lottery team

2. Miami @ Boston - 23rd consecutive victory - 18 point comeback

Very similar to the Cavs game. Another heart attack waiting to happen, another double digit deficit to overcome, another game to make the Celtics our sons. Good effort, Jeff Green. Should have went for 50

Hall of Shame - Pierce getting the inbound pass thrown off his back by Battier...again!

Spoiler:

Also,

3. Miami @ OKC - Blowing out the Okies in their building while also being pounded in the ass by the refs

Smh, OKC. You still haven't learned you need to have a strong start in order to win a game. Also, great job letting Chris Bosh dunk a half-court inbound pass with 1 second left.

Lebron going ham

4. Miami @ NYK - 16 point comeback

**** the Knicks. Nothing else to say

5. Indy @ Miami - Game 1 Buzzer Beater

Frank "I can brush my teeth while spinning a basketball on my toothbrush" Vogel decides to be the basketball genius that we all know he isn't and takes Hibbert out of the last play of the game. Hey, thanks, man. We owe you one

Image
Yeah, I know, Zach. I can't believe it either

6. Denver @ Miami - Ray Allen's 4 point gamewinner

Well, it didn't take long for Ray to find his place on this team. Not even 4 games in the season and Ray is already saving our asses with clutch 3's in the final seconds of a game. Talk about foreshadowing

Spoiler:

Oh, and speaking of foreshadowing....

7. Miami @ San Antonio - The ass-saving duo of Jesus H Shuttlesworth and Chris Bosh

Another user said it best:

You couldn't make this stuff up

All of those were really fun to watch.

#2 gets my vote. The dunk on Terry lol and a LBJ game winner in Boston to top it off? Pretty sweet.

Of course. But the disclaimer was "best moment except for the Finals" because I think it's obvious everyone would pick game 6

I'd go with LeBron's dunk on Terry and Bosh's game winner as my two favorites.

I voted Ray 3 and 1 against Denver, only then I realized how happy I am he is not playing against us...

so many amazing moments this season.

We had some epic comebakcs during the winning streak. And the playoffs were amazing. One of my favorite seasons ever.

Oh, definitely. Some memorable comebacks even besides the ones I listed. I think we overcame a +10 point deficit in every game against the cavs

It was. That whole game was amazing. Haslem's defense on Duncan at the end there was superb.

Bosh vs. Spurs game is my fav.

Cole, Mike, Shard, Bosh, UD, Ray, Bird all stepping up bigtime. I admit, it may just be me, but I wanted that W more than any other game in the regular season. I just wanted to see our guys win without Bron/Wade. That game was a beauty to watch exclamated by a Bosh roar off a dagger game winning 3.

That's a part of the Boston game. That's when we set the 2nd longest win streak ever (23)

There was nothing special about the 27th win. Just taking care of business at Orlando

Even Though I disagree with you that 27 wins in a row is nothing special for you. I see your point.

No, that's not what I meant. The 27 win streak was awesome, but it's hard to relegate it into one specific moment. If the 27th game was the record then it would have been a more iconic moment, but we were still planning on winning 8 more until Chicago ended it.

the incredible slam from Wade when people were saying he was finished.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders
