Jesus fricken H. Instantly week to week. Carted off not even limping off. That sounds brutal.

I think it might be bad. A friend of a friend is there at camp watching so I sent a text to see if they were around and saw what happened or what not. I don't even know if it was open to the public but anytime you get carted off...

I am glad they drafted the two young guys to start the transition but the irony of this will be come full circle if they have to get a veteran MLB and reach out to Urlacher.

I think Urlacher already has a broadcasting job. And he has made too many statements about being done. Nope the Bears will be looking at playing Bostic and signing depth off the wire.

I was just throwing Urlacher out there because this feeling of irony has bugged me since I saw the injury report this morning.

Although Urlacher has acted like a d*ck since we offered him a $2 million deal, I wouldn't be opposed to him returning for one final season. He could then retire from the Bears gracefully.

That is kind of what I was thinking as well. Sign him and he plays decent, mentors the young guys and retires a Bear. A second chance for him and the team since the track record of Bears that have been "run out of town" so to speak is long and sad. IMO BUT, he has been such a tool the last few years I don't think he'd go for it.

Urlacher? So we want 2 MLB on the IR? Haha, just kidding. I suspect DJ will be ready by the time the regular season rolls around. The biggest problem is not getting reps in a new system. I'm not sure how close the Broncos' defense has been to the cover 2, but it's always ideal to get maximum reps for the most reactionary position in football. With that being said, I'd love to see how Bostic does with 1st team defense. I mean... he WAS our 2nd pick. He should be starter quality.

D.J. Williams, signed to a one-year contract after nine seasons with the Broncos, was carted off the field at the start of Wednesday's practice with a right calf muscle injury. The team announced he is "week-to-week."

That means there is a better chance than not that Bostic, who was plugged in to replace Williams immediately, will start the Aug. 9 exhibition at Carolina.

Hopefully Bostic can step up and prove he can be the starter come Week 1. And if this does end Williams' season, I would be fine with bringing in Urlacher for another season.
