Perhaps I'll adjust you up a bit when I do my first revision. (after all 30 teams are done)

not to mention 2 of the leagues biggest tankers this season are in our division! (celtics and sixers)

And let's not forget it's the contract year for both Lowry and Rudy (if he declines his option).

Philly are ****. They did such an incredible job at getting horrible in one off-season it's not even funny. They'll probably jump back to being mediocre after getting a top 3 pick next year and later will be a good playoff team. I wish my Raptors would do something similar. Almost everyone puts them in the 18-26 range with the biggest upside being making the playoffs as a 7-8th seed...

I find it hilarious that they don't even have a coach. The players have no idea what kind of style they're gonna play.

Jacque Vaughn was hired July 28th last yer. Terry Stotts was hired August 7th. There is some precedent for not having a coach at this point in the offseason.

Vaughn was more a product of getting the dwight situation straightened out first though right?

some speculated around draft time Hinkie wanted to hold off on hiring a coach, so they would know what they were getting in to. Of course, we ended up trading holiday on draft night which declared our intentions of going for the tank. Before, there was a chance, albeit slim, Bynum would re-sign. As for after the draft, hinkie is methodically going through the process. It doesn't really matter at this point what style of basketball we are playing next semester because our sole focus will be player development and losing. It's not like we have our long-term roster set by any means. He's just taking his time and making sure he gets the best candidate possible. Plus, there is also talk that this extensive coaching search is allowing him to gather information on other organizations.

I'm waiting to see how the Jennings/Knight swap changes Jazzfan's ratings and which if any of the two he sees improving from it.

No mention of Archie Goodwin = fail. He's definitely an asset that will make many a GM regret passing on him.

I don't think I'll change things too much. Maybe bump Detroit up a win and the Bucks down one.

If Goodwin continues to shoot like he did in Summer League, he'll be awesome.

Instead, he'll shoot like he did in college and spend his rookie season in the D-League.

And with that, only playoff teams are left to discuss.

I can't believe the Warriors aren't rated higher. What the hell kind of list is this?

OP, I like how you write, but IMO there's no point at all in trying to make an analysis 3 months ahead of the start of the season. There's still so much time left. There gonna be still a bunch of trades and signings, injuries could appear, etc, etc. Just the trade of Jennings to Detroit happened yesterday and you made your Buck's analysis based on Jennings being their started PG. If you can do the same by mid-late october I'll give you my 10/10.

You got the Magic with too many wins.... If drafting a SG and forcing him to play PG isn't a tank job than I don't know what is.

I really can't see NOP winning 42 games or Dallas winning 45 games in the West.
Their relative rankings look ok, but the win totals look high for how deep the conference will be.

well there should be 41*30 wins on the season. when I do it one team at a time I usually inflate that total by being too optimistic or just too nice. once all the teams are done I'll go back and revise the win numbers to get them to total up to 1230.

it should be a little more accurate then.

OP I And 1'ed you, but I still think it's a bit too early for this. You have some valuable insight but you should wait until a bit closer to the season for the best potential analysis.

I think Boston is way too high. I don't think Chris Paul/KD could take that roster to that many wins. That roster doesn't have any talent on it.

Off season is pretty much done and rosters are pretty set. Usually teams get all their moves done early to concentrate on summer league and then training camp. I think the Jennings trade was pretty much the end.
