yea he is really milking this.

Btw, do you think if he signed with the HEAT, we would pay for him to be trained by Tim Grover before training camp? I think that would work wonders for him.

I think we would go all measures to make sure he is looked after the right way. His minutes would be very limited at the start.

enough with the whinging at Oden.

If we offered the mmle then he'd sign straight away. We're playing games, he needs to get the best contract he can.

Im with HIF on this. come on guys, the guy doesn't owe us anything. We're not Portland. and It's not like the season starts next week. This could his last NBA contract, he should think about decision and feel comfortable with it.
There's plenty of time before camp starts, and im pretty sure that our offer isn't as lucrative as the one he got from the pelicans. If he's thinking about sacrificing $ and coming here, he can take a few extra days. no biggie.

WOW he wobbles a lot when he walks! No wonder he gets injured. Is one leg bigger than the other or something?

Agreed. As I've mentioned, while some may not admit it because of a vested interest in Miami signing him, the strategy of Oden's agents has been masterful.

They've taken an often injured player who hasn't seen the court in 4 years and made him a valuable commodity, which will ultimately translate into getting the best deal possible.

Yeah IF the Pelicans do end up getting him cuz they offered MMLE while we offered ONLY MIN -- no hard feelings, I seriously wish this guy luck. Otherwise, if Riles' offer is MMLE as well vs. NOP's MMLE but he still chooses the Pelicans, then **** you Oden, have fun competing for attempts with Holiday, Tyreke, Gordon and Davis on a fringe playoff team

It´s a wrap guys, even if he chose us dude won´t last. Look at how he is hobbling/wobbling even after almost 2 years + he is a recovering alcoholic I doubt either going to Miami or Nawlins is a smart choice.

I've always said that if Greg went threw leg lengthening surgery (as painful as it is) to even out the length of his legs he would not get hurt as much.

Greg is clean and moves well on the court. I've seen him a couple of times earlier this summer around campus.

All the scouts that saw him workout said he looked pretty good.

Most athletes wobble similarly off the court. He's probably sore, too.

The thing that sucks for Oden is that because everyone seemed to over look this his problems when he was younger. The legs are just the beginning of his issues. My left leg is shorter than my right leg, not any where as extreme as Oden, I got some of the problems Oden will get to enjoy if he already doesn't suffer from them by developing lower back issues and eventually having to top playing basketball all together. I wonder why his doctors never got him into a lift or something along those lines.

This is a really interesting read about him

LOL this thread is hysterical, it went from minute by minute false reports to restructuring Oden legs with drills as if he is some tree house lol. First of all do yall really believe these reporters are attached to Oden hip or getting personally hour by hour messages from Oden on what he thinking lol. Oden is trying to figure out what is the best move for his career, he doesn't have time to report every thought of his especially to a reporter. No player has ever done that, not even LeBron when he was going through the decisions. When you see reports like that, its mostly a reporter reporting his own guess just to keep you reading his info. We do not know what kind of offers Oden has been getting if he has gotten a real offer at all. Its freaking july why does Oden have to make a hurry decision when he most likely getting minimum offers which will likely always be there. lets wait till Oden makes his decision, and if he does choose the Heat we are not taking his legs apart and putting new ones like this is lego. lol

Very interesting article, not just regarding Greg Oden but regarding medical treatment of athletes in general. You have to take the article with a grain of salt, but a lot of what he says makes sense. I'll never understand owners who are not intent on spending money on a good medical staff. They're there to protect your investment and make sure it functions properly and delivers maximum return. Not investing in your medical staff is like airlines not giving two s***s about their mechanics.
Of course is Oden not an easy case, but if at least some of the injuries could've been prevented, who knows how he could've turned out.
