If it will be Motiejunas then I fully expect the coach to start Motiejunas+Javtokas (since Motiejunas+Valanciunas frontcourt would have an atrocious defense). If coach decides that Valanciunas should be a starter, then he will probably put one of the Lavrinovic brothers (ideally it would've been Valanciunas+Jankunas) in as a PF to start the game.

I dont think D-Mo is worse than Lavrinovic brothers defensively. Kleiza will probably start at PF anyway.

I have to politely disagree. D-Mo was exposed last year - his defense was non-existent against NBA talent. Mainly because of skinny frame, short arms and the lack of lateral quickness as well as lack of experience (he's 22 after all). He wasn't known for his defense during his tenure in Europe either. Both of Lavrinovic brothers can block shots, enough bulked to defend PFs and have tons of experience. So it's not even close in my opinion. The question that really matters in my opinion, are D-Mo's offense and Javtokas' defense enough to disguise his defensive issues. Kleiza might play both SF and PF (I think he will mostly play SF though, there just doesn't seem to be enough room for him in PF spot) - it all depends on the lineups though and whether the new coach is going to implement some sort of smallball with this years squad.

Yeah, I guess D-Mo is the worst out of them all, but brothers aren't good either. I guess their post D is stronger, but rotations, help and contesting is just as bad. Now when I think about it, Javtokas is probably the only guy who actually plays defense.
I dont like D-Mo to begin with. Not a good defender, his shot selection and tendencies are bad. Very inefficient, not an energy player. I just dont see the point with players like that, he has no actual positives besides ''potential''. If coach actually decides to leave him in the final cut, I at least hope he has exclusive plan just for him.

I would like to see a lineup like this: kalnietis, maciulis, kleiza, d-mo, valanciunas.

That's not a good line-up. As I mentioned before, D-Mo & Valanciunas just can't co-exist together at the same time. The defense of Lithuania's frountcourt (Kleiza included) would be atrocious. And Maciulis wouldn't keep up with other team's SGs.

Even Maciulis is more SF/PF , i think he can stand as a SG also, he's 6'5, athletic and good defender/rebounder.

If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

They will milk as much as they can out of Javtokas until he retires, as he probably wont be playing in 2016.
JV will be benched.

I think this is pretty good tool :) The first clock is set for the very first match, but you can change it to track the upcoming games. Dates are all written down in this thread and you only need to update them. You also change the second clock to the city you are in :)

You don't know if Pocius is any good right now. He spent all this time on Real bench without much PT and was injured a lot too. Seibutis is probably a better choice at this point.
