Ive been gone all weekend but when I heard about the deal, I was fine with it. Fair deal, and I dont think he "moves the needle" all that much so the tank is still alive.

Wanting Giannis/Henson as the 3/4 of the future is separate from Harris. Because even if that was what you wanted, the Harris asset could have been used wisely in another move that actually helped us long-term.

Overpaid...again...but I have always liked what Mayo could potentially be. I really do not think we have seen the best of his game yet. I have never liked the fact though that he is undersized and we have gotten no better on the defensive end with our backcourt.
But he will certainly put the ball up...

Ball so hard.

I don't expect it, but I really hope OJ can turn into a player Bucks fans can love.
Just give us something to look forward to dammit.

Agreed. Hopefully he never has an 0/13 night like the hypothetical he threw out at the end of the video about playing like a heavy weight champion fighting through struggles such as that.
The new strength and conditioning coach seems pretty awesome. Robert Hackett, a local guy that became a star sprinter. His last job was in Dallas. Paschke interviewed him in the link below.

As far as Tobias, maybe I am crazy but I don't mind rolling the dice on Giannis/Henson as our SF/PF of the future. If MIL ever does contend, I think it will have to be around an IND type of build that is awesome defensively and can crush teams on the boards. Tobias at best is questionable defensively whereas Giannis' length gives him the potential to be an awesome wing defender.
I am prob hoping for way to much from the #15 pick in the draft but when you are a Bucks fan that is the reality.
You are massively underrating Harris defensively. Being questionable defensively is his floor. He's already very solid on the ball defensively. He's very strong and isn't really out muscled by any wing players despite his age, is quick to react, and he can jump to contest shots extremely quickly because he doesn't need time to collect to leap really well (which shows up down low offensively as well). His weakness is understanding team defensive concepts off the ball, but he's a very smart player so I don't see it being a problem going forward.
My prediction is that he becomes a plus defender. That could easily be true within the next year or two despite his very young age.

They said that Nick Van Exel will be working alot with Juice Mayo. I hope OJ can keep expanding his game , improve his ball handling in pressure situations ( via being trapped off pick and roll ). Hopefully bringing the ball up initiating the offense.
but his main thing is to try to score the basketball at an effecient rate. He has the talent to be a top 10 scorer in the NBA , if figures out a way to get to the line.
OJ Mayo , Michael Jordan , Allen Iverson.

What's up? I knew it wouldn't be too long before you got on here. I'm Tron1 from the Dallas mavericks forums. I totally agree with everything you said. He has shown he has all it take to be a top 10 scorer in the league. Hopeully he works on his condition as being a 82 game starter and getting to free throw line when shot isn't falling. No more excuses for him. This is his year to show he belongs as starting 2 guard in this leagie for years to come.

"Tobias Harris" and "Plus defender" in the same sentence? You must be on some good stuff over there. Please share it. My nickname for watching Tobes is Ole'.. haven't seen so much bull fighting since Gooden got burn. But carry on

Pretty sure it was "official" July 13th. It is a little weird that we haven't seen some sort of introduction yet. But then again, have we seen any pressers on any of the additions?

I'm guessing they don't have any press conferences. They have videos of them being interviewed when they were in town signing their contracts. Check the video section on Bucks.com
