I know he was a mentor for Josh Smith when he was a rookie and Al was in Atlanta. So, there's a connection there.

But, many wondered if he was even going to be in the league next season after missing most of last season. I wouldn't be greatly against having another veteran presence in the locker room, but I wouldn't bank on getting much out of him on the floor.

Not sure if this is a toxic idea, but do you think we can get a player like Nene from the wizards using our expiring contracts? If trade Stuckey or CV and Jerebko for Nene, next year it'll give them financial stability while we have a solid three big man rotation until Drummond's rookie deal expires. We can keep building our bench through the development of our young guards.

So you really consider Al a big? As in the protect the paint, grab rebounders and play post D type big? Because that's what we need by the way. And if you were paying attention, you would see he stated he wants to play for a contender. Maybe you SHOULD'VE assumed that since there's probably only 10 minutes available for said big.

Yep. He's played PF and grabbed over 8 boards per 36 minutes past two seasons, if you were paying attention.

The only moves I make from here on out are those that secure us a great shooting starting SG and/or a *third string* center behind Monroe and Drummond and/or one that ships out CV and Stuckey.

Signing Al Harrington doesn't immediately satisfy any of those. I'd rather call up Ben Wallace and see if he still works out five days a week and if so offer him a contract.

Yeah and if you paid attention you would realize we need a CENTER not another PF, which Harrington is not even a pure PF. I see you chose not to address post defense and protecting the paint as a requirement for the type of backup big we need. And 8 rebounds per 36 minutes? WTF? He's no more an option for backup center than Josh Smith is. Dude give it up, he's not the answer and he wants to be on a contender.

If backup PF was a need then I'd say why not? But our need on the checklist at the moment is a true backup Center. So I'd pass on that Ninja Turtle. I'd like to see Macklin back, definitely could get him for a reasonable price and get solid production from.

you should have. You would have gotten an array of responses about how Stevenson is a better player than any of the guards we have and he has "all star potential" on the right team. Our team of course.

I threw his name out there in the SG thread, but he actually does make a little bit of sense if we cant find someone better.
