I hope knight does well on the bucks, he is a hard working kid but it was clear joe didnt view him as our pg of the future. Atleast he will actually get a chance on the bucks, I felt like joe gave up on him as soon as we traded for calderon.

I do like the kid and hope he does well on the bucks but that answer he gave on that articule wasant really necessary.Jennings took alot of crap in his time with the bucks and it wasant a secreat they wanted him gone but he has been pretty positive about them.Knight was given a chance here and had the same shot as kyrie, kemba, etc but he really didnt progress at all.I do understand that some players need more time to develope but can he really blame dumars for wanting someone with more experience and better at the pg position with the team hes putting together.

If he can run that offense well enough and get them Wiggins he will be a hero forever.

Good luck to BK, I'm rooting for him.

By the way, Milwaukee aren't tanking, they perpetually strive for the 8th seed and this season is no exception.

I wish him well. I thought of him as a very high character guy and you can't help but hope he succeeds

I never stopped following Rodman, Billups, Sheed, Prince, or even Okur when they were with other teams. I even followed and internally hoped that Darko would wind up with a nice career. Rip & Gordon I stopped following the moment they got shipped out of town. It didn't have to be that way with Rip but he did that to himself.

I'm a total homer. I never root for former Pistons - never.

That said, I expect Knight to develop into a very good NBA guard - maybe not a point guard, but I wouldn't be shocked if he become quite good at that position in time. I also think Middleton could turn into a heck of a player. But he wasn't going to get PT in front of Singler and probably not ahead of Datome (unless the Italian guy turns into a bust, which I don't expect).

Don't discount the big chance Middleton has to get serious PT in Milwaukee. His pathway to PT isn't blocked the way it was in Detroit behind Smith, Singler and Datome. In the back of my mind I imagined him as a backup SG as well after we got rid of Stuckey.

Smart move by the Bucks.

Give Knight a chance to develop and also improve their tanking operation.

Two birds with one stone.

Just for that, I'm going to care an extra amount. I hope it literally makes you go on a frenzy and step on a lego because of it.

I don't care about his future career either, and also don't think greatness, but definitely think he will solidly improve over last year (for what that's worth). He will improve with some stability, not playing with Singler, and I bet their coach their will be better than a tuned out Lawrence Frank and can get Knight to execute the very, very basic plays a little better, like pick and rolls.

I think Middleton will improve, however I think he went to Milwaukee perhaps because they wanted him and not Singler. It's pretty inconceivable to me that Singler is valued by anyone. Though he looked super value for a few short weeks, for anyone brave enough to keep paying attention to him he was painful. I think Middleton would have earned a job over him. Frank's rotations were not logical and are no indication of a player's ability. Kyle Singler is the dude that the opposing teams attacked with whoever they had at the opposing position, by design, and the guy who set picks on his own team when on defense. He also botched a million plays on offense, and if we had not been such a crappy team they would have stuck out like a sore thumb rather than fade to the background.

The person who invested time watching a young player develop for 2 years. And he was a person I watched, not an object which you treat him as.

With all due respect Manocad, many of us have watched and supported Knight from when he was drafted. I, for one, hated the trade and I think Dumars gave up on Knight far too early.
If you don't want to read or discuss the future of knight, then don't post in or read this thread.

My thoughts on the subject are no less relevant than anyone else's and I'm free to post that I don't care. Some people may care, I don't. I'm a fan of the Detroit Pistons; I don't follow players who aren't part of the Detroit Pistons.

It was a rhetorical question; no expectation was put forth that anyone who does care about Knight's future should stop caring. If some of you people can't handle an opposing view of not caring vs. caring being put forth, don't read the thread yourself. There's no rule that says a thread about the future of Brandon Knight starting for the Bucks can't be addressed with "I don't care about the future of Brandon Knight starting for the Bucks."

I'd argue that your thoughts on the subjects ARE less relevant given that they don't have much do with the thread. This thread was created for the sake of discussing Hammond's decision to start Knight at PG. It was NOT created to debate whether or not we should care about Knight or any other former pistons.

Why post in a thread about Brandon Knight.....if you don't care about Brandon Knight? By all means you are a forum member like us and have every right to do so, but it just seems like a waste of time and it comes across as trolling, which is exactly why 6 posters quoted you in disagreement. I don't believe it was an attempt to troll, but I do believe it to be a tad counter productive to just come in and say that you don't care. You can accomplish the same exact thing by just skipping over the thread.

I agree with the first part, you're completely entitled to your opinion and if you don't care that's fine. But in the second part where you say we can't handle an opposing view is ridiculous. You didn't say that you didn't care about Knight, you implied that no one should care and were explicit which gives the impression that our caring angered you.

If you don't care about Knight, that's fine. Some of us do or are interested to see how he progresses.

EDIT: I thought you said your thoughts were no less subjective, not on the subject. So I changed my mind. I completely disagree with you.

This is the OP:

retrolenny wrote:I just want to say I think that's great because I firmly believed he would be coming off the bench behind Billups!!!

http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/22 ... oint-Guard

Another opinion would be, "I don't think it's great. I think it sucks for [fill in reason(s) here]. Yet another opinion would be "I don't care."

The point of this forum is discussion, not "I think [something] is great, so post only if you agree with me. If you don't agree with me, don't post."

Get used to the idea that not all opinions are going to be the same as yours. And if you weren't a mod, try to stay away from giving lectures about how the forum and/or a moderator is expected to operate. You just look foolish.

It's not like I grabbed your mom's boobs. Lighten up.
