I honestly dont think that the Wiz and Raptors have the talent to be better then the Pistons, neither team made big acquisitions besides the draft so I just dont see them being better unless we completely implode.

So if there are more bettors in New York than Detroit, and everyone is a homer, than an ohaddsmaker is going to give New York better odds to win, making it a less desirable wager, which will help balance the money between their odds and Detroits. It doesn't necessarily mean New York is better than us.
:Looking at those odds it tells me that the money on the Pistons is pretty low. Makes sense in that Vegas is far away from Detroit and they have less diposable income.

I think the Wizards will be a pretty good team this year. When Wall was in the lineup last year they played .500 ball. That said, idk if they'll be better than the Pistons (I hope not) but I don't think they're a bad team.

Thats a little confusing for me. So even though NY has a less than desirable odds, the new york homers still go for it?
Even though I consider myself a homer, my decisions are based on logic. Making a bet like that for NY isnt logical.
New York will always have usually have WORSE odds to win. The logic being they have more fans than other teams, fans are more likely to be biased that their team will win, and Vegas will want to hedge their exposure to a lot of money on New York, so they make the odds worse so some of their fans wake up and put money on competing bets. Vegas wants balance.
