Re: UCF Football: Kickoff Countdown
Hello fellow American Athletic Conference neighbors! As a USF Alumni I wish you great success this season! Except for November 29th! I think you guys are maybe better overall AND with our big questions at QB, RB, AND DB I'm not sure what to expect. Though I do hope we beat you on November 29th! I will be at the game considering I live in Oviedo now. So win every game UCF fans! Every game but one!

8-4 is my call for the season. I could easily see things going sideways at 6-6 depending on our defense. Hardest schedule I can remember in a long time.
Looks about right.
Bortles quality of play as well as what the defense is capable of will make or break this year.
8-4 would be nice, but worse than that wouldn't be a surprise at all

That was really a good article.
If GOL can ever get consistent results, the public would embrace him. The problem is that UCF has not been able to do so.
During his tenure, he has done many fine things, however, the on-field results have tarnished most of the positives.
I have not been a GOL supporter by any means, but I get this feeling that he is about to get some results.
I am probably wrong though.......lol

I was watching ESPN yesterday and the Clowney highlight real..... I felt like I needed to go to church and pray for Blake after watching the hits he put on people.

Given we received votes in the first polls... If we win our first two games: Do you think we get ranked before Penn State and USC?
I was thinking about that today and I wonder if conference schools will vote in our favor to increase the strength of schedule for their conference mate? It would make sense if you were trying to promote out of conference schedule strength.

Re: UCF Football: vs Akron [0-0]/ Fall Training Camp
I don't think beating Akron and FIU would get us ranked, not even close. Also worth noting that GOL has a vote this year so it's possible he put us 24th, haha.
We need to go 3-0 to get ranked IMO.

3-0 is possible, 4-0 is in the bank for a ranking

I still thinking depending on the margain of victories and losses (#15-25) in the polls we have a chance to be ranked by the time we play penn state.

I guess it also depends how many teams ahead of us in the 20-40 range lose early. And i'm too lazy to do research on it, haha

Not thrilled the first game is a Thursday, but it'll just have to be a half day at work to compensate. Tough schedule to start the season, so it's important we get the first one.

Game time is 7:00 and not 7:30.
Tailgating won't begin until 4 pm.

Hard to get excited for a Thursday night game but I wouldn't miss it. Who else is going? Finally bought season tickets again this year.

I'll be there. 2nd season as a Young Alumni ticket holder. They really ratcheted up my perks this year. Getting a lot of free stuff.

Yeah, free parking pass included was a major eye opener, free t-shirt, car flag, and I think they said a car magnet. Plus you can buy one extra ticket for a guest.
I used to spend well over $100 just for parking.

Season tickets in hand and ready for Thursday. Betting on a great start to the season.

Weeknight games suck.
We renewed our tickets, and now have held tickets for 15 years.
We will do an abbreviated tailgate, I'll get there around 2:30, and be set up and rolling by 4.
