the critique is honest but i think the record will be better than 43/39 and the lakers will make the playoffs. the lakers have better shooters coming in this year than they did last year, and thats what MDA is all about. You also have to add in the fact that this team is now built for strictly offense, since dwight and metta are gone. putting 100 points per night on the board wont be a challenge. stopping 100 points per night will.
good critique but the lakers go 45-37 and barely make the playoffs. (barring injury)

Have the Lakers better shooters? really? who? Wes Johnson? Nick Young? Hill starting at PF? Kaman? Farmar? seriously...

Lakers right now look like a top5 bottom team in the West without doubt, and probably a 10-12th pick in the upcoming Draft.

I think your projections in general give too many teams high win totals, when in reality it never works out that way. Go and compare your projections to the last 10 seasons. Not a single one of those 10 seasons will resemble your projections in terms of win distribution (almost no bad teams, but a tonne of good ones). If anything, this coming year should result in more teams on artificially low win totals (due to the incentive to tank as the season progresses).

Personally I don't think the Lakers are going to be super healthy, and will miss the playoffs. If they're smart, they'll tank rather than try for a low seed and a first round elimination.

My only critique, and I'm sure it just slipped your mind as you were writing, is the part where the Lakers win the championship is missing.

I will adjust my win/loss projections after I get done with all 30 teams to address your concern.

If you're going to adjust the win totals, you should adjust the team order too, since the Spurs are way too low.

I might tweak a team order or two. I don't think I'll be bumping hte Spurs though.

As I explained on the Spurs board, you're totally off base then.
