Blow Jays at Marinara (Aug 5-7)

Post#1 » by Schad » Mon Aug 5, 2013 10:36 pm

Matchups!

Monday - R.A. Dickey vs. Expectations*

Tuesday - Josh Johnson vs. Repetitive Strain Neck Injuries From Swiveling To Watch Home Runs**

Wednesday - J.A. Happ vs. Mediocrity. That's not a jab at Happ; he's facing Aaron Harang.

*And Iwakuma, who is rather good.
**And Felix Hernandez, who is really good.

I don't understand why Colby, our hottest hitter, is still hitting 6th. I get that he's been successful there, but they're just giving away outs at the top of the lineup for the sake of superstition.

I agree. He should be batting 2nd in that lineup imo.

For a guy who's struggles have been 90% mental, I would be fine with leaving him there. He has been most successful in his career batting 5th and 6th.

I know it sounds absolutely crazy to say this but spot in the order does add pressure.

Henry Blanco may take the league lead in grand slams thanks to the pitchers were sending out in this series

Isn't it time to move Adam Lind down in the order? Hit .195 in July and is under .070 for August with that first AB.

I dont know why they took him out of the platoon role. He was doing great when Gibby was using him as one. Come on Gibby, get yer head outta yer bum.

Why the hell do they keep going to the A-Rod at-bats??? After the first one there's not really much to see.

I think he has earned the right to play over Derosa in a year we aren't even competitive.
