Kasey Hill

Post#1 » by EricAnderson » Mon Aug 5, 2013 7:40 pm

What are your thoughts on him? hes still raw and needs to refine things but hes athletic as hell for a pg if he can learn the nuances of the positon i think he can be a top 10 pick

A 6'0" PG might have a hard time going top 10 next year, because Harrison and Smart are already two PGs that are LOCKED for the top 10. How many teams need a PG? Just a few now.

He has a chance to be a top 10 pick, just not next year. I'd be pretty surprised if he is in next year's draft.

super athletic but small, doesnt make up for his shortcomings in skill, namely his shooting, with good decision making or other intangibles. if s.wilbekin isn't still suspended when the season starts (didnt follow up on his situation), he should be starting over hill since he's the better player.
i dont really understand the hype on this kid, or chris walker ftm, outside of them having sweet mixtapes.

Fair enough..I agree with you on Walker though i think his length and athletic ability are so off the charts that people are enamored with his "potential" but how many players that raw ever put it together? unless scouts are convinced he can become a rookie Amare type who didnt have much skill early on but was so powerful and athletic and ran the floor so well that he generated points that way without much skill

Also, the comment about PG's not being a need? Plenty of teams will nee a PG.. Dallas, Ind, Charlotte, Houston, Lakers, Knicks, Magic, 76ers, Kings.. Maybe even the Jazz if Burke busts like many project.

Hill seems very Jeff Teague-like, but even more explosive off the bounc, with better vision. He'll do fine in the league imo

Philly and Charlotte don't need point guards. Most of the rest of those teams won't be picking in the top 10.

-Charlotte definitely doesn't need a PG as we have two who are capable of starting in Kemba and Sessions.
-Dallas just drafted Larkin and then they signed Harris, Calderon, and Ellis.
-Sixers seem committed to MCW

Hill should be picked in the 12-15 range, so that rules out Indiana, Houston, NY, and Magic for sure. Like others said, I'm not sure he'll be coming out this year.

Ehhh, Teague was/is a significantly better shooter than hill. Also, a Jeff Teague who can't shoot isn't really a very good nba player.

considered around 10th in his class by College recruiting standards but lack of size may hurt him for NBA scouts. If he comes out in 2014 I would say second round. Maybe a chance at first round in 2015.

Better at dunking during warmups. Kasey Hill is a complete PG.

i agree that jahii is better but he's also older.
i also disagree that kasey's a complete PG. for a pg his decision making isnt all that great and his shooting needs a lot of work. i dont even know what kind of pg he's gonna be.

The more I think about this dude is undrafted if he enters into 2014, unless he really impresses as a freshman.
he is a waif.

Jahii is one year older only, Kasey is also old for his class.
Jahii will be a Sopho and Kasey a fresh, they are in the same range, if you think Kasey can do the same Jahii did this year as a fresh....
