Why not, don't need cash, and could use future assets, plus that silly GM in GS is going to give me the first over all pick in 2015 ; )

Do this to get good young pieces in Knight and Speights.

Get GREAT exp's for Speights, and a guy in Knight who has apparently lost all his value since the RL Jennings deal. Also both guys were not in our plans. Good dealing OKC!

FOR

LA:

Iman Shumpert $1,797,699

Knights stay was short lived, but we get a good young piece going forward. I actually value Knight and think he's getting a bad wrap but reality is he is only 21 years old and is good at many things. Hes an underrated defender, and can develop more PG skills as he is very young with a good amount of NBA experience. Ezeli and picks are tough to send, but we think Shumpert will be worth it.

Good dealings LA.

LA Accepts. Knight is actually a very good player with 2 seasons Exp and is only still 21. Very happy with him, ezeli is a nice backup big p, 2 firsts are great and the cash will be very handy.

Shump is a good defender but cannot score.

I'm also under cap to absorb contract

Approved. Please update rosters.

Bobcats accept. We like Bullock as a role player and we really like DeRozen and we think he can be a nice scoring 6th man or start at either wing spot. We love Afflalo and are sad to see him go, but we think this is the right move to make for this franchise.

OKC and Detroit have come to a deal.

Detroit Receives:
Marreese Speights - $3,500,000
2015 2nd Round Pick (OKC)

OKC Receives:
Jimmer Fredette - $2,439,840
150% = $3,659,760

Detroit accepts. Coming to terms with the fact this team won't have a great deal of cap space in 2014 and I may as well get as much talent as possible. Speights will do wonders for our bench depth.

Rajon Rondo/Mo Williams
Wesley Matthews/OJ Mayo
Trevor Ariza/Courtney Lee/Alan Anderson
Tim Duncan/Kenyon Martin/Marreese Speights
Demarcus Cousins/Emeka Okafor

Accept. Have some scary shooters now with Jimmer.

Approved. Please update rosters.

DeMarcus Cousins: 4,916,973
Kenyon Martin: 884,293

Total: 48,016,046

Deal works within the 5 Million $ rule.

Why for the Spurs?

We have the most discipline organization in the league. We fully believe that Rondo, Mayo, and Cousins in our system are going to thrive and be regular All-Stars with a championship in the near future.
We also consolidate role players for better role players in Ariza/Okafor, both of which are large, expiring contracts.

Losing Ibaka/Conley/Leonard wasn't easy, and it took a lot of time to pull the trigger on this deal. Ultimately, I felt like this is best for the team both short and long-term, and it should open up enough cap room for a max free agent next summer.

Pistons accept. Great working with you once again, Colbini!

First of all, welcome back to Detroit, Serge Ibaka! This deal was done for a three reasons.

1) Identity. The Pistons are now one of the best defensive teams in the league. We also acquired a ton of shooting in the process: Kawhi Leonard, Mike Conley Jr, Gary Neal, and Randy Foye (41%!!!). This team is athletic, ready to compete with any roster, and can shut any team down.

2) Potential. This past year's playoffs showed Mike Conley Jr can be an elite PG in the NBA, especially on the defensive end. Kawhi Leonard is also full of potential. While Serge Ibaka may have less potential than Cousins, I do feel as though he is much closer to a defensive anchor than Cousins ever will be.

3) Competitiveness. With a solid identity, I do believe this team improved its chances at winning a championship.

Mike Conley JR/Mo Wiliams/Jamaal Tinsley
Wesley Matthews/Randy Foye/Gary Neal
Kawhi Leonard/Courtney Lee/Alan Anderson
Tim Duncan/Marreese Speights/Boris Diaw
Serge Ibaka/Elton Brand/Timofey Mozgov

This team is VERY deep and can contend with any team in the NBA. Really excited about this trade.
