I wonder if one of the mods can get this redirected to the Bears fourm? Like leave it on the Bulls board, but redirect it to the Bears so they can get more traffic on that board?

EDIT: haha...someone beat me to it.

I had a dream about the first regular season game and how the offense looked amazing. Cutler threw close to 500 yards and had 5 tds and 1 int. Man that would be sweet if my dream became a reality. :D

Howard Mass wants the Football game threads to begin on the city's respective Basketball boards to help direct traffic to the NFL boards. I'm all for anything that brings more people to a discussion involving our Bears.

Can one of you good guys in the Bulls board Mod-land make this thread a sticky, so that it stays at the top of the board?

 Well, this is only the first preseason game. It's a new format, so it's bound to have some glitches. We'll get it right before the regular season begins  .

In the meantime, maybe I will just keep bumping it to the top of the Bulls board page until Friday's kickoff.

EDIT: It seems that bumping it does not work.

Maybe someone can start a new Bears thread on the Bulls board & simply merge this one into it. I don't know how the mechanics work in mod-land, but the new thread could then be stickied at the top of the Bulls board :dontknow: ?

We may need to start this thread on the Bears board and move it to the Bulls board in the future. Since we can't sticky it on the Bulls and Bears board at the same time, it'll be on friggin page 3 by the time Sundays arrive. If we want to do this optimally. If we can't do that, I'm afraid this won't work too well.

Hopefully it all works out with getting more people from the Bulls board.

But what I really want to see is what pace the offense is ran, like Patryk said above, and what young players really stand out. The overall feel of the coaches and team.

I want to see if Frey can bring in his great practice play to the games? Will Joe Anderson continue to perform? Can Long get some good movement in and not rely on brute force. Will Hardin contribute anything at all? Will McClellin get overpowered? And will Bostic look as good in whatever time he gets as he looked in Florida?

Is that something the are working on so we can sticky the thread?

If need be, you guys can just lock my thread & start a new one tomorrow.

That's an option until the site administrators implement a way to sticky the same thread on two different boards (Bears & Bulls) at the same time.

without emperorjones input, I think for now we should just ride this one out and talk this weekend about what to do next week.

Trestman said that Cutler was going to see very limited snaps, which is expected. He said it could be anywhere from 1 - 8 depending on the flow. What's your guess? I'm going with 3-n-out and then 2nd unit coming in.

If it's simple as not being able to sticky it on two boards...why not just sticky it on the Bulls board and let it be on the Bears? With this board getting much less activity, it's less likely to get pushed down.
