I like how that depth chart looks. But the big question that stands out to me is how many WRs will be on the roster if Weems and Hester don't see any time at that position? 4? 5? 6?

It sounds like Anderson is a lock to make the roster. I think that if we tried to put Marquess Wilson on the practice squad, some team would scoop him up so he probably has to stay too. That pretty much makes Aromashodou the odd man out, but that still means you have 5 WRs and 2 specialists who don't contribute anywhere else.

Trestman Buys $2.94M Mansion Near Chicago

Marc Trestman and his wife purchased a $2.94 mansion in Winnetka near Chicago in May.

Trestman was named head coach of the Chicago Bears in January.

The French Provincial-style house has 6 1/2 baths, a kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, a cherry wood library, a third-floor loft and a lower level with a movie theater, a wine cellar and a fully equipped sports court.

The best part is definitely the cherry wood library. It's probably filled with two metric tons of notes from Bill Walsh lol

In other news, the Bears definitely think Trestman is a genius.

"It's even better than I could have hoped," Britton said. "I am learning so much and Coach Trestman is like this Zen master. I don't even know if I should say this, but Martellus (Bennett) the other day, we were in the ice tubs, and Coach Trestman is walking by and Martellus says, 'Coach, they ask me who you remind me of and I almost said Willy Wonka.'

"He is like Willy Wonka of football. He is this mad scientist. It is awesome. It is a great opportunity."

 Or a mad scientist. And it looks like Britton is a lock for the roster.

Sure, everything is great when you haven't lost any games 23-17 yet with the defense scoring 6 and also setting you up for your only offensive touchdown in opponent territory. Point being, Willy Wonka better have a top half offense and have an above .500 record or they won't be singing about him from the ice tub like Oompa loompas.

Spoken like a TRUE long term Bears fan. Remember the Hoopla when Dave Wandstat came in here? How we STOLE the genius behind the Cowboys Superbowl powerhouse. All the places are in pieces. Jury is out. As it should be.

It won't embed it's kind've odd, but basically they're saying Jay Cutler would go for $20M a year, now see I think Jay's value is actually higher on another team. On our team it's lower because our O line sucks & a QB can't develop & grow here.

not cool to add a veteran, because he would not be practice squad eligable in order to keep Blanchard when he heals. The Bears would have 4 QBs. This is a bad injury, and will domino down the roster. Hope nobody good has to be cut as a result of signing Palmer.

▲▲▲▲ Difficult to imagine the low level of play quality he must have been at. DT is real need position. I thought Anderson was signed to take Ellis's place on the inside rather than play at end. Correct me if I'm wrong. This might be another example of Marc Trestman's level of patience for malingerers. As in Zero.

I think I know why no new contracts are being considered ATM. Trestman is asserting his will on the Bears and Emery is giving him room to work.

This is not camp Lovie any more. And Jay better watch out. Those really bad mental errors are not going to be tolerated IMO either. Or Jay will be seriously lowballed or discarded when his new contract is looked at. Trestman said it is his (Trestmans) job to make sure plays like that (the interception) don't happen again. And I happen to believe that kind of public commentary means he intends to follow through with eradicating those sorts of errors from the QB position. Some how. Who knows how. Some how. Trestman won't just allow this kind of thing to become a part of his life that he is willing to accept. This offense is his bread and butter. [/rant]

Or maybe Anderson was cut just because they really like Washington at DE and I went on another pointless tirade.

Blanchards injury costs Jamaal Anderson I guess. FWIW. Unless he was gonna be cut anyway which is probably the case.
