You play the projects and young guys early in the season and rest your vets for the post season. Whoever is left on the roster needs to play and let Wade Bron and Bosh get less minutes.

And then you lose in the finals cause you didn't have HCA.
Didn't you learn ANYTHING from last season ?

You can play role players more if the drop off is not significant compared to the starters. With guys like these (whoever the Heat fans are clamouring for during the summer) the drop off is HUGE, so you can't really play them.

One more thing:

How many of the guys who are in love with Varnado wanted Pittman to get more minutes ????
Don't make me search old posts. Fess up.
If Pittman was any good, why isn't he getting 15-20 mpg with one of the other 29 teams ?
Speak up.

I def wanted Pittman to get more minutes since they drafted him I wanted him to get a chance at improving or showing what he does or does not have. I didnt not want us to draft the guys since I felt that there were better prospects when we selected. But since we did draft him I wanted to see what he had that made them want to draft him. Also one of the crucial games that won us HCA Lebron and Wade sat out. It was the young guys and Bosh that sealed the deal and it was a great feeling.

I wanted Pittman to stop hacking. I remember last year in a summer league game, dude had like 8 fouls in 20 mins..

I think Varnado has found his level.

Not up to Heat 15th man.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

So you didn't learn anything from the Pittman stuff.

And you know why that game felt so good?
Cause that happens so rarely and is so unexpected. You just destroyed your own claim that you can get HCA while relying heavily on guys like Pittman and Varnado.

I know fans like to dream. That's why owners can get away with selling them hope instead of actual results. But I try to be realistic. And I think more fans should, too.

We've played Cole fairly heavy minutes in the last two seasons and still won the title. Not to mention the numerous other contenders that give young players a good amount of minutes.

Your point makes no sense and isn't backed up by anything .
