Between GGG and Lucas I don't know if the Boxing internet is big enough for both of their hype.

I'm waiting for GGG to fight the first guy who isnt running for his life. He hasnt been tested once on HBO

What are you talking about? Guys start running once he hits them. Macklin and Rosado are come forward dudes.

Rosado is a natural 154er

Except their hype is pretty warranted at this point. Matthysse should be undefeated. He got the shaft in his two decision losses against Alexander and Judah.

As for guys running from GGG, that's what happens when other fighters start realizing what kind of power they're dealing with in the ring. Macklin tried to trade with him and paid the price. There's a reason why he's one of the most avoided fighters in the sport. None of the top guys at 160 want to face him at the moment. It's not as if he's ducking anyone. Hell, even DiBella went on record stating that there's no way he's putting Martinez in there with Golovkin right away once he comes back next year. Quite frankly, I don't blame him.

So what. A lot of fighters move up or down out of their natural weight classes all the time in this sport.

BTW, GGG was revealed on HBO's 2 Days special to have the flu during his fight with Rosado. Yet he still looked good and got the job done in impressive fashion.

Fighters and sparring partners have explictly said they don't want to mess. There's no one more feared...that's the internet?

GGG has a good argument for being constantly avoided, like N'Dam dropping his belt and Sturm never ever fighting his mandatory. (side note: it's a joke that Sturm will probably be named the mandatory for the Geale/Barker winner after losing to Soliman and beating a supper padded domestic German fighter).

Lucas Matthysse has gotten fights with Zab, Alexander, Peterson and Garcia, nobody has ducked him. Also he wasn't robbed vs Judah, 114-113 either way is a "correct" score. He def won vs Alexander though

I think Murray wants to fight GGG. The only problem is that he can't get a visa to fight in the US due to his past legal issues. And GGG isn't going to fight outside the US since he's building his brand here.

"There are lots of offers coming in for Martin, but it's just about finding the right move at the right time. That's something I learnt from my old promoter, Frank Warren. This promoting game is all about timing and Martin's a real flavour of the month due to his wonderful performance.
I wanted to fight Kostya Tszyu three years before I boxed him and if I'd done that, he'd have beaten me," Hatton admitted. "It's all about the right timing - build the fight up, build the interest."

Hatton on Murray vs GGG this July

He's acknowledging the real risk and lack of reward. He's even suggesting that Martin is over-eager and that the manager (him) knows better, like he was over-eager to fight K.T. and his manager rightly talked him out of it.

I don't blame them for wanting to protect Murray. But it would be a good fight to see. Especially after the way Murray performed against Martinez. A fight many thought he either won, or at least deserved a draw.

30 day weigh in for Mayweather/Canelo yesterday.
Canelo is 166
Mayweather 150.3, he already made weight
Canelo gonna have at least a 15 pound advantage on fight night

I saw that pic of canelo at 166. He looks rail thin. He'll bloat up overnight but the kid has to get down 14 pounds in a month. Brutal. He's gonna be a zombie fight night.

He really just needs to lose 10 lbs... most individuals have like around 5 lbs of water weight with them all the time along with other things in their body...

Geale/Barker tomorrow night on HBO. Hopefully the winner mans up and faces GGG. Kellerman better put the winner on the spot. Even if the winner dances around the question, at least it will be out there.

Yeah, it's not a big deal at all. He's likely been lifting heavy weights and doing less running. Cuts that out, a strict diet, he can lose 7-8 then cut 7-8 w/ carb load/restrict, epson salt bath, a little running in plastic or whatever. He's in perfect range.

The only risk of being 15 pounds a month out is what happens if you get some sort of strain or injury and can't do the requisite running/aerobics. Even if you're just strained for a week - let's say you have to rest an achilles or something - you can end up really off track. That definitely happens.

Well in case anyone wants to see the fight live instead of tape delay on HBO... I suppose you can be a guru and find a website to see boxing.

Caught HBO's broadcast of Kovalev beating Cleverley. He looks real good. I'd love to see him take on Adonis Stevenson.

If anyone's planning on visiting Atlantic City soon, I highly recommend staying at the host of tonight's fights.
