are you ok with Jennings taking most shots per game?

Jennings biggest weakness with the Bucks was his inability to run the pick and roll. Time and time again there would be a guy open near the basket or a pick and roll presenting itself with an easy two only for Jennings to shoot with a defender in his face or pass it to someone in an equally bad position as himself. There is an amazing youtube clip with an example of this. Anyone got this example?

If Jennings is going to blow up the P&R like that, he's going to get benched. Detroit has Billups, Bynum and Siva who can call run the P&R. Jennings is going to play smart basketball, or he won't play at all.

He isn't getting paid like a superstar, he isn't above his bad decisions anymore.

He is a very young player, and he's coming here with an elite skill set and tremendous natural ability, and to a group of teammates who should make it wonderful to be their PG (great big men around the rim, and some great 3 pt shooting wing players (Billups, Datome, KCP, Singler). He's coming here under a bit of criticism about the way he has played his game, and under a clear mandate to cut that crap out.

He has great chance to take a huge step up in his career. If he doesn't take that step-up, in two more seasons he's an expiring contract, and in the meantime, his contract is very team friendly.

This can work. In every respect, this was a very smart move by the Pistons. I think the Bucks made this trade because they got sour on Jennings and Ellis, and saw Jennings going the wrong way as a player with them. I don't understand this trade from their perspective at all. For awhile, I thought maybe they wanted Middleton. But that doesn't even make sense because they drafted Giannis.

What is it with fans of other teams trying to tell Pistons fans about Jennings, as if we've never seen him play before? I know Milwaukee is called the Siberia of basketball, but he didn't literally play in Siberia. You would think Jennings was some Euro that no one ever heard of before, so European fans are coming to give us the rundown on his game, and for all we knew were just feeding us crap because we wouldn't know if it was right or wrong. You can't just come and make up lies about Jennings to other NBA fans and think no one is going to know if you are telling the truth or not. I can't speak for everyone here, but I've seen Jennings play and know that he runs the pick and roll just fine. I've seen it, and Dumars has seen it, as he just said yesterday he watched tons of film on Jennings and his abliity to run the pick and roll was one of the main factors in trading for him. Are you claiming to know more about pick and roll offense than one of the greatest guards in NBA history?

Its odd enough that fans feel the need to go around hating on Jennings, period, but now they are going as far as making up lies about him in order to hate even more? Please just stop. I almost feel embaressed for you.

Dumars told Jennings he is expected to take better shots.

Pistons have a glut of point guards.

Jennings can spend time on the bench as part of his learning experience.

He will learn. He will be very good. OR he will be gone.
