I hate it when people state that Henderson should be a sixth man. A sixth man should be a spark plug with instant firepower, and that's not Henderson.

I also believe that Henderson is a better overall player than Thompson, and although Biyombo frustrates me its only because I love the kid. I think our SG position is fine.

sure, hendo is a more well-rounded player than klay, but klay has an elite skill, one that suits his position, and for that reason, klay will always have more value in my eyes.

Thompson may have more value, but I wouldn't give up on Biyombo and a first for him while Henderson's still here, and Biyombo pisses me off 80% of the time.

I have never been one to advocate a Biyombo trade, but if one of Detroit or Portland overachieved and yielded us an early 20s pick, I would trade that and Biyombo for Klay Thompson. I like that man a lot.

Too bad Golden State probably wouldn't trade Klay for MKG. No way are they breaking up a backcourt tandem that good at shooting.

Thank God we wouldn't trade MKG for Thompson is more like it.

Bad wording on my part- no way in hell would I trade MKG for Klay, but they wouldn't either, that's how highly they should be valuing Thompson

Biyombo and any of our firsts is way way way too much for Klay.

WAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTT a second... I meant to write "one of our firsts" not all of them, thats just madness!

personally I like the idea of having an elite shooter at the two as MKG, Walker and Biz don't ever seem they are going to be above average shooters (this could obviously change, but right now we are all guessing). Now on [i]OUR[i] team I think Hendo's best role would be as a 6th man/energy guy who could play starters minutes, lead the second and play with the first unit. A little bit like what Lance Stephenson will probably do when Granger comes back

Am I the only one who thinks that the Warriors wouldn't give up Klay for Biz and our first? I don't think that the other teams see any value in our project of Biyombo.

I agree. It would take a good year from Biz and an off year from Klay to even begin to have that conversation. At this point we probably need to just hope we hang on to Biz and he breaks out later on a la Jermaine O'Neal.

biz is my favorite player, but if the warriors were crazy enough to accept bix + detroit pick for klay, i would take that trade and immediately begin shopping hendo.

That's similar to how I feel. Thompson is the exact type of player you want on the wing next to hyphen.

Klay Thompson cannot be a team's #1 option. And that's exactly what we'd be asking him to be here. Our pick or the Detroit/Portland pick could very plausibly be used to draft a player better or as good as Klay.

Thompson is a nice thought but I don't see any groundbreaking deals on the horizon. In fact, I think the most likely player to be moved (Ben Gordon) won't actually be moved. I scanned the league for matches and I don't see anybody worth the money. However, things change as the playoffs draw closer. You could see something like Ben Gordon for Varejao since the Cavs want to clear money and might need a shooter to advance. But that depends on Bynum's durability and Varejao's health as well. If the Pelicans are out of it, they might look to get out of Eric Gordon's contract (they would need money to improve since they lose their draft pick) but he would have to be healthy and Charlotte would have to be in the playoff hunt I would think. Another possibility is Danny Granger but again, health is an issue and Charlotte would have to be in the playoff hunt and would have to give up something else if Granger has any value to the Pacers. Rudy Gay has been mentioned - but we would need Ross included or a protected 1st.

To sum it up, it's much too early to tell who's a likely target even when you know a player is likely to be dealt.

But if anything, I think we should be discussing Ben Gordon - he's the most realistic trade candidate imo. What do we get back? I have no idea.

I wish we could trade Jefferson and Gordon for Blake and DeAndre. Blake has been stagnating, DJ is overpaid and Jefferson actually gives the Clips something they could use, a low post scorer.

Absolutely no way the Clippers do that, it makes very little sense for them.

No way the Clippers deal Griffin. He is the face of their franchise over Paul. DeAndre is overrated and overpayed.

We would probably have to throw in picks too...

Well I did say "I wish." Their face of the franchise is getting worse at scoring and rebounding, he's overpaid and overrated as well.

Lob City can't get past Memphis b/c Lob City can't play in the half court which is where playoff basketball is won. There is no way that team gets to the NBA finals without a low post threat to out duel the Z-Bos and the Duncans of the West and DJ isn't going to magically become one and Blake is literally getting worse.

The only reason this trade doesn't make sense for the Clippers is b/c Jefferson and Gordon really suck at winning basketball.

I'd shop Taylor, not Hendo. Klay+MKG+Hendo would be a great wing trio. All three are worthy of playing 30 minutes.a game and Klay next to either one of them and Kemba would be a dream come true.
The other dreams are Eric Gordon for free or Jeremy Lamb for cheap.
