How popular is basketball in your country?
Don't know if a treat like this already exist
In Poland basketball isn't very popular. Most popular team sport is of course european football/soccer, second is volleyball. Handball is also probably more popular so bball is number 4. But of course Marcin Gortat is a huge star here.
I wonder how it looks in other country. I only know that in Lithuania people love basketball and in UK nobody know what it is

In Latvia, basketball probably will never top Ice Hockey, but it's not far behind:
1.Ice Hockey,
2. Basketball,
3. Football/Gulbis(Tennis)/BMX and everything else in no particular order

Wow, Handball? I spent most of my life living just several miles away from Polish Borders, in Lithuania that is. Basketball was easily the most popular sport in the country and I am pretty sure still is. I caught Lithuanian TV programming few days ago, and most of the commercials were featuring national players and all that. Basketball there is what Football is in Brazil, it dominates the culture.

I agree, in Spain soccer is the most important sport by far. At least 80% of sports' time in media is related to it, and in the 20% there are current stars like Fernando Alonso (F1) or Rafael Nadal (tennis). Then basketball appears, though there is a plain difference between spanish team (Eurobasket, Olympics, Worlds) and club's competitions (NBA, ACB, Euroleague, ...).

More like:
80% Real Madrid & Barça
15% rest of the football teams and leagues
4% Alonso - Nadal & motorsports in general
1% other (non specified)
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.
