I think in terms of prospects we are solid at every position, I would rather see how Taylor pans out before we trade assets for a SG like Klay Thompson.

I really like Thompson but I don't think he's ever going to be an all-star or be able to carry an offense as the number one option.

If Biyombo only ever gets to Larry Sanders level he will still impact the game more than guys like Thompson, Smith and Barnes etc.

I think we should look at someone like C.J. McCollum in some kind of package involving the Blazers pick.

I know they're really high on him and he was a top ten pick but I reckon he would be easier to get than a guy like Thompson.

It's always unlikely that teams would trade their lottery picks before they play their first season with the team.

Granted I really like CJ and would totally be interested.

I like him a lot, but I don't like his fit with Kemba. I'd prefer a bigger guard like Thompson.

I know this idea will get hate, but if we exceed expectations. I would see where Toronto is at in the standings and see if they would do a Rudy Gay for Ben Gordon swap.

Gay makes a lot of money, but it is not horrible this year at 17 million, which ranks as the 14th highest paid player. We would only be paying him 4 more million than Gordon for the remainder of the season. Hopefully if we were in the 6th or 7th seed he could jump us up a seed or make us a much more difficult out in the playoffs.

Then at the end of the year, he is due a player option of 20 million, which is really high. I would try to get him to turn it down and instead offer him a reasonable contract in the 10-13 million type of range on a 4 year deal. Also, next years free agents are not great with Gordon and Sessions Expiring, so are options will be limited. Ideally we bring back Sessions and get Gay for Ben Gordon type money.

I know we have MKG at the SF, but what I would do is play Gay at the 2. He is more of a scorer anyways and that is what he could focus on there and let MKG continue rebounding and playing defense.

Rarely disagree with you, but I don't like that at all.

If we are in the playoff hunt and we need a go-to scorer I would definitely trade Ben Gordon for Rudy Gay unless MKG proves he's needed as a starter. If it looks like he will need an additional year of development then I would bring in Gay and feel comfortable with that. But I would have to have a pretty good idea that MKG would still benefit from the available minutes plus another year of gradual development. I would have to not feel like Gay could be blocking him.

Again I'd want a future protected 1st because they really covet Wiggins and we can use their infatuation as leverage.

But I'd honestly rather trade for Eric Gordon if healthy and if we are in the playoff hunt. There are no free agents at SG that play even close to his level. Health is a key though.

Same here.

No, that is horrible. He is an inefficient player. Just because too many GMs overpaid a bunch of guys does not mean that Gay has a reasonable contract.

Hell no to Gay.

If we win this year then that's good but we can't make short term moves to do so.

Rudy would have to come with an unprotected pick.

F*** no.

I might trade one or the other straight up for Hayward (probably not Hendo, but it's not terribly far), but throwing both in is just ridiculous.

Would people trade Rex straight up for Kanter?

Very tempting because Kanter is probably the most underrated C prospect in the league at this point and would mesh well with Biyombo, he has also been developed perfectly so far by Utah and Al Jefferson himself.

That said, I really think Cody will be perfect for this franchise in the long run and we should see what we've got first.

If we somehow manage to get the #1 next year and Wiggins is still considered the Consensus top pick, would you if you were Rich Cho offer it to New Orleans for Anthony Davis? Would New Orleans consider this?

Also on this note, if we managed to land #3, #10 & #14 would a package like this entice New Orleans to trade us Davis?

Kemba/Taylor/Gilchrist/Zeller/Davis as our future?

Depends a lot on this season, whether Davis breaks out or not, but based off of last season, I probably would stick with Wiggins.

Ideally it would be Biz and the Detriot or Blazers pick for Kanter.

Kemba - legit shooter (James Young maybe?) - MKG - Rex - Kanter

Kanter for Biz+Taylor+POR 1st? I don't like the idea of dealing Biz, but this is an idea I would entertain.

Not sure?

A stretch 4 like Rex might be a nice compliment to Favors though?
