First of all, there's only one Cat on this board, and it's the guy replying to your post 8-)

As to the trade, I would want more from Charlotte. I've only seen Biyambo play a handful of times, but I've never really been impressed by him. With the way you have it set up, Charlotte would both save a bunch of cash and get the best player in the trade.

Ben Gordon is an expiring and Biyombo is on a rookie deal. Orlando is the one saving money in this trade.
A smart coach once said, "Potential just means you're not good enough yet." Playing on potential is like living on air: It's essential, but if thats all you have, you're eventually going to starve.

First of all would you be willing to duel for it? We Thundercats never turn down a challenge 8-)

Bismack would give us a presence we need in the front court to get more fast break
opportunities...and we can always squeeze future picks to get fair value.

Turk's contract is only half guaranteed. The Bobcats would only have to pay him $6mil in order to free up 12$ mil in cap space. Short-term savings right there.

Orlando saves money long-term then by paying 2 yrs of a rookie scale contract rather than Afflalo's 3/23.25 deal, but I'm not exactly sold on Biyombo, and paying 13$ mil for a disgruntled Gordon who may want PT to take from Oladipo/Lamb/Harkless doesn't sound particularly enticing.

There'd have to be sweetener in the form of at least a 2nd round pick or another prospect to entertain the idea methinks, as many on this board (myself included) want our team to get a good lottery pick. Gordon may add a few too many wins if he can still play productively, also could hamper the development of some of our youth.

This trade just doesn't make sense.

Cats have plenty of guards already and give up one of their bigs which they are already thin on the front line.

I say Henny would say hell no.

Wait, your name is a reference to the Thunder Cats and not Terry Catledge, former magic PF? If that's the case, then we can peacefully coexist.

A pick might make up the difference as long as the protections aren't ridiculous.

Bobcats need quality starting guards not just guards that's why their the bobcats lol

Also bobcats have McRoberts and just added Anthony Tolliver to the bench to backup Jefferson/Zeller front court. They mind as well cash in on Biyombo trade value b4 it gets too low IMO

My retort is that the Bobcats just signed (4) Big Men that all play very poor defense. Very Poor! They need at least one Big Man that can play both Center and PF that is exceptional on Defense. That man is Bismark.

I actually like the Bobcats trade if they include an unprotected 2nd round pick in the deal.

Al Harrington played just 10 games for the Orlando Magic last season and believes the team did not prioritize winning.

“For me, last year was just a nightmare, from start to finish,” Harrington said. “The Orlando thing with, I think they brought me there never expecting me to play, but then I got healthy and it was kind of a surprise for them. It was tough, but I understood that was the business and they had to do it for whatever there reasons was.

"Winning wasn’t on they agenda and that wasn’t nothing I wanted to be a part of at my age.”

The Magic decided to waive Harrington after being unable to trade him or reach a buyout agreement, and now the veteran forward is close to a one-year deal with the Washington Wizards.

I understand that last year must of been frustrating for Harrington, but he keeps saying how he didn't want to be with the Magic because they don't want to win right now, which is fine, but then why sign with the Wizards? Obviously the Wizards will most likely win more games than the Magic, but they are still not that great and the best they will probably do is barely make the playoffs. You would think someone who says he wants to win would go to a better team than that. Granted maybe they were the best team that was willing to sign him, but idk, it just annoys me how he talks about last year but then just signs with another not so great team

By the time he was "healthy", we were completely out of it. It was best to give the reigns to the young guys. I can understand the frustration, but what was he expecting? I'll enjoy watching Tobias driving past him and throwing it down on him this year.

The wizards wont win the title, but the difference between them and the magic is the Wizards ARE trying to win right now, the magic are tanking

I think when people talk about the Wizards they immediately think mediocrity and rightfully so. We'll see what they do next year but I think they can sneak into the 8th spot.
