Hilarious! It's awesome though to see the four of them hanging out and practicing so much together. They are part of the core that this team is being built around, so them having such good friendships with each other is awesome to see. Having that relationship with each other and practicing together all the time can really help out all their games not only as individual but also as a team.

On the WT, it seems we had a tentative agreement with HOU? How would that have worked out if it pushed through?

Remember when Houston was scrambling last draft to acquire draft picks? Probably would've involved something to do with that.

But remember, any tentative deal organized in March would've been coordinated by Otis, which means we probably would've been trading for every bloated contract they had, and then some.

Imagine, though, if we'd traded for pieces we could have swapped for Harden...

Harris/Harden tandem would be a pretty solid core to build around. Add a stud big man to that team and they're contenders, IMO.

Hopefully there will be a resolution on Hedo Turkoglu. I think the Magic will end up letting him go before Camp.

Al Harrington's cap hit stings a bit but it is what it is. I think some of his comments this week came out of frustration. I wish him well though.

Nikola Pekovic's new contract all but guarantees Nik Vucevic will get max money on his extension that he can sign next summer.

It's always to hear the "What could have beens" on trades but do look like the Dwight Howard package one year later.

I feel so bad for Ryan Anderson. He is such a good guy and this happens. What really puzzles me is how his girlfriend who had so much would kill herself. My condolences to him and hopefully he can pull through this.

Not me. Contribute to what, another 22-60 season? Stash him, give him playing time overseas, and let him get some free development to his game. He needs it.

Same here but I was a little surprised. Would have made a better impression if he'd kept his mouth shut. Plus he's revising history a bit, it's not like he could have contributed significant minutes at any point last year, or that his contributions would have changed losses to wins.

We got out of that situation as well as could have been expected. Assuming we could have gotten any other package that would better position us for a rebuild at this point is meaningless and probably not 100% accurate

First, totally agree on Ryno, guy has to be devastated.

As for his girlfriend, no one can ever really understand what's running through someone's head when something like this takes place. Despair and depression are impossible for third parties to understand. A friend of ours took her life maybe ten years ago now, single mom with a 17 and 8 year old. You just look at it and think "what could possibly bring you there? Leave behind the life you built, the devastation to those around you?"

But the truth is, no one else can understand where anyone really is from a mindset when they do something like this. Things that make logical sense to you or I just fall away, and the person becomes myopic and can not see one way out.

It's terribly sad. All you can do is hope she is at rest, and those around her eventually can come to grips and fine peace with it.

I have seen severe depression with very attractive women with OCD. They have very high expectations and get very depressed when things don't happen the way they anticipate. Sort of like getting their hopes up too high and then crash and burn when it doesn't pan out. This is why I always prepare for worst case scenario and when it isn't that bad, I am happy. Hence, I am almost always happy go lucky. But, quite possibly the hottest woman I ever dated killed herself a few years later but she had all sorts of issues with her ex-husband so I don't know the full story.

Hennigan would be wise to see exactly how this team has progressed -- and if Vaughn's voice and vision have taken hold of the roster -- before making any moves. No one player acquisition will solve the Magic's problem.

With a stronger Draft crop in 2014 and a monster free agent class next summer, the Magic need to maintain a position that allows them to act and react should opportunities arise.

I don't understand this pervasive idea that 2014 has a great FA class. Not seeing anyone I want on the team that will actually be available.

i was just having fun with the thought. as i said, any deal organised in March means it would've been organised by Otis, and that doesn't bode well for us, especially if he's going up against Morey. i doubt we would've landed the pieces that would've landed Harden, and who knows if Harden was even on Hennigan's list? (I suspect he was, but that's another topic).

the deal we got was by all means a complete success in my book. my perception of Vuc continues to change and he's looking more and more like a legit anchor piece big man who can contribute offensively (in AND out), defensively and like a monster on the boards. that alone is a great return for trading the best big man in the game. on top of that we got promising guys like Moe, we dropped big contracts in JRich and Duhon, and we added a few draft picks (albeit, late ones). furthermore, Vuc is probably better suited to playing on a losing/developing team, whereas Harden probably would've put this team into win-now mode, which wouldn't have helped our efforts to acquire high level talent.

still, it's always fun to play hypothetical history.
