Paul George- Vengeance

Post#1 » by Boneman2 » Wed Jul 31, 2013 1:46 am

I saw this video on PD and wanted you all to see it.

I am ready for some basketball. I know I've got the fever when I can't think about the Colts yet, and training camp has started.

"Shall we begin?"

Love it. Pacers marketing should be onto that as a slogan to lead in to the season.

Sure. It is world famous and everyone in the world has seen either of these multiple times.

I'm not sure you understand how Youtube works. If something is decent, it gets reworked and reused. In every form of media.

No actually Derrick Rose - Vengeance made it onto nba.com

This remake did not. And for good reason, Paul George is only the 3rd best player on the Pacers.

This actually makes me glad, knowing how others view the Pacers roster. George would be the best "3rd-Best Player" in the league without a doubt.

Yeah, NBA.com isn't exactly a massive media hub. I can't remember the last time I went there.

Otherwise, I'm intrigued by your Pacers knowledge. We have 3 top15-20 players in the NBA? Who are they?!?

Should not Rose have to prove that he can return to form after such a long recovery before we can anoint him top-3 status?

Even in 2011 I struggle to put him top-3 (KD, LeBron, Kobe), and now CP3 is healthy and Kyrie is coming along.

We'll see.

Yeah well it is the most visited nba site around the world, so you might want to try it.

Hibbert and Granger (healthy) are both above George. I understand that as a Pacers fan you're probably not satisfied with that, as none of the above are superstars per se, and Indiana's only real hope of developing a superstar is via Paul George's development. Which is fair enough, he's a developing young talent. Do i think he will get there though? No, i don't. But i can definitely see him in plenty of All-star games throughout his career.

Yes he does need to prove himself all over again, your right. And from all reports he will. There have been several Bulls insiders saying his jump shot has improved considerably. Kyrie is in for a big year, his ceiling could be anything. Definitely looking forward to them facing off for the first time. CP3? Rose burns him everytime they matchup, watch their games. Kobe is way past it, sad to see, but he's almost a chucker in this Lakers team. KD struggled without Westbrook so he's fallen off the "Competing for No.1 spot with Lebron talk" for me. Lebron I agree is clearly the most complete player at the moment. But no doubt everyone is waiting to see who will eventually overtake him. In the words of Jay-Z:

Most kings get their head chopped off.

Wow. I appreciate your vote of confidence in Hibbert and Granger, but you're just not correct.

IF Hibbert plays a full season like he played these past playoffs? He's a top 25 player with George, sure. Granger? Was he a top 25 player at the height of his career? Yeah, sure. If 100% healthy, is he one now? No. He's about 3-4 years behind that. Plus, prime Danny Granger was not as good as Paul George was this past year. While Danny CAN play defense very well and score well, he seemed to have trouble doing both in his prime. I imagine he's now going to play a little of both, instead of focusing on one or the other.
