Thats the nature of the beast. Can't expect him not to get called there and there, thats the other side of the glorious monster that he is.
Still remember fools who were mad when Brian drafted this guy, calling him another soft Euro, haha.

It's so great to see we finally have a prospect we can be proud of. Watching him in those highlights was fantastic. I know it was Sweden, but his on court demeanor and aggressiveness is just a pleasure to watch. Not to mention how crazy efficient he is out there..

if jonas breaks out this year, just by having this presence keeps us from being a tank team

I hope he does too, but Bargs is actually a guy that would match up fairly well against Val's post game - he's big, heavy, long, pretty mobile and doesn't bite too much on fakes.

Passing from the post is how you punish Bargs.

Agreed. I was thinking more generally about the smash-up derby that is the game when Val's around. I'm surprised that nobody goes after him after the whistle for retribution.

Its a damn shame Casey will limit Jonas in favour of long 2's.

casey should not even touch the offense, and just worry about the other half of court imo, and refine that rotation...jonas, lowry, demar and ross wont reach their offensive potential under casey's uncreative offense

If we run Val on the P&R against Bargs, he will torch him.

Agreed. We haven't had a higher end prospect like him since possibly Mighty Mouse. A guy that is extremely competitive, aggressive & tough.

Carter, T-Mac, Bosh.......all very skilled & exciting players at times, but didn't have the aggressiveness, the motor & toughness that JV has.

I've been waiting for a player of this kind for a long time. His court demeanor reminds me of Noah, but he has a lot more potential than Noah ever did from a skill & size perspective.

I absolutely love those feisty/ aggressive players like Noah, Garnett, Kenyon Martin......guys that not only have skill, but want to outwork you on every play......

Agreed!

Noah is a great comparison actually. It's funny people have always been making that comparison, and people have always shot it down, but it's looking more and more likely that he could reach that level, and as you said...beyond!

Thanks, love me some Arvydas. I actually had another clip in mind, but I have no idea how to make .gif files...and have them be appropriately sized.

So K. Lav and A Juskeviciaus were cut. Feel bad for the twin brother as he played well.

For the next game I'm predicting 33 points on 3/3 FG and 12 rebounds. 22 minutes of play.

They are not cut. They stayed behind for personal reasons :-)

Who Jonas reminds me of is Bill Walton in his Portland and UCLA glory years he has the eye of the tiger.

Bargs is surely not playing in Eurobasket, so don't get too excited.
Getting excited about a good performance against a crappy team is... priceless...
