I piked 15-20 wins, it's going to be a long season. Glad hockey will have a full season, Coyotes should make a run for the playoffs this year.

Least this team will be interesting to watch, just to see what our young guys can do. Especially Bledsoe, Goodwin, and Len whenever he comes back.

Probably end up somewhere between 15-25 wins, think we're going to lose a lot of games due to youth and inexperience, but win some due to Dragic just going off.

I'm going to predict a 32-50 record which is 7+ from previous season. 12th in the Western conference.

Phoenix Suns

2012-13 Record: 25-57

Projected 2013-14 Record: 29-53

On the heels of a disappointing 2012-13 season for the team that resides in the Valley of the Sun, fans may not want to hear terms like “patience” for too much longer, but that is the reality of Suns fans these days. They were able to strike a deal that landed them guard Eric Bledsoe and small forward Caron Butler, but this remains a organization lacking a “franchise” player in a league with teams that have up to three.

This was much of the reason why HOOPSWORLD’S Alex Kennedy added the Suns to his list of teams in the unofficial race for dynamic 6’8 swingman Andrew Wiggins (Kansas). Adding Bledsoe to a backcourt with Goran Dragic is certain to add excitement, and Butler has proven to be an above-average small forward when healthy, but make no mistake about it when projecting the potential outcome of this season: Phoenix, barring an unexpected surge, is much more likely to be in the mix for either Wiggins or any other top lottery picks in June of 2014 than they are to make a playoff push.

With the current landscape of “super-teams” and “Big Threes” in the NBA, and the potential for the 2014 NBA Draft to be one of the strongest classes in nearly a decade, that isn’t necessarily a bad thing for a team like the Suns. Under the current CBA, teams like the Suns are better suited to bottom-out, maximize roster assets to the maximum of their ability and strike it big with a franchise player or two via the draft. See: Oklahoma City circa 2008.

26-30 wins I think. I don't see much of a drop with Morris taking over for Scola and Tucker being every bit as useful as Dudley was. Then you add in Bledsoe and Len, I'd say right around 30ish wins I think.

In the West? Philly and Orlando having horrible rosters is going to have almost no impact on the Suns season. Just about everyone out West has made pretty serious efforts to improve, except Utah, but barring injuries they should have one of the better front courts in the conference and a bunch of young improving players around it.

We should have another "rate the offseason" threads. Last summer, 58% gave Sarver/Babby/Banks a "B" O_O

We're going to lose a lot of games. But we'll be exciting to watch.

Scola and Dudley were our 3rd and 4th best players respectively, adding Butler will ease the loss of JD, but we have no one to replace Scola's methodical consistency. I think Dragic will thrive in the new team, and Gortat will over time be squeezed out (and eventually dealt) as Len comes on and we strive to play faster and more athletic ball.

I think getting Hornacek will really unleash Dragic to do what he does best. Bledsoe should be solid defensively regardless of what happens with his offensive development and I think the addition of Butler will help out. If Frye comes back, Len gets healthy and has a respectable rookie campaign, and Beasley/Brown's minutes are limited heavily, we have a good shot to win 30-35 games.

Remember guys. Running and gunning often helps teams look and do better than they would otherwise. Catches people off-guard, creates mismatches, etc. That with offensive players that aren't named Beasley/Brown is a big improvement.

Most importantly, the coaching and management situation is finally stable. We know Hornacek and McDonough will be here for a while. Leadership stability in a franchise is unfathomably important, both on and off the court.

Don't be surprised if this team plays better than you think. Honestly, if we don't see an improvement on what we did last year given all the tumult and turnover and given all the changes we've made in this offseason, it would be a massive, massive failure.
