And thanks for the reminder about the "4 game sample size" question... I recall you were using that to show how how everything was on the upswing with coach Hunter. How'd that turn out? Did the sample size returns carry over into future results?   Looks like I might have been right on that one too.

Ha, like you are the person one should trust at getting quotes correct. You kept bringing up playing DLeague guys when perfectly healthy guys received DNPs CD, as proof that they were tanking. It's not my fault that you said they started tanking mid March.

Four games dude, four games, where a new coach decided to play his young guys over players that were expiring, and later not even on the team. He had six rookies to evaluate. Again, a common practice for teams nowhere near the playoffs. And of those four games, they still won one of them, against a team that was only three losses away from derailing your mythical tank, which you still have no proof of, yet claimed you did.

Remind me... at what point did they trade their top scorer for a dude who couldnt play basketball... was it... mid-march? Huh... what do you know... it was... and how many games were left at that point... hmm... exactly 27.

I wonder where I was getting that 27 games figure from... beats me. Maybe you should make up something again.

Its my opinion that they tanked... the "proof" in my eyes is the bizarre moves and rotations they made. You view those moves different. I've said this several times, its a difference of opinion.

Actually you didn't bring up twenty-seven games, I did. You started this with a 3-17 tank proof. I brought up the Ellis trade, not you. You don't even know what you said, very sad. What is your next lie? Are you going to take credit for my first job?

phrazbit wrote:Yeah, I know, it was a coincidence that the Warriors went off a cliff and slid into the 7th slot. Guys who had been starting or playing key reserve roles like Dorrell Wright, David Lee and Nate Robinson all started getting regular "DNP coaches decision" because the team was really curious to see what the end of their bench players could do if given 40 minutes a game.

They went 3-17 to close the year... pretty amazing considering they were only 3 under .500 in March.

Here is you first response. There are the guys you listed. Lee had a groin injury with nine games left on schedule, and the med staff said he should sit out until fully healed. Dorell sat out the last four games, and Natethe last six. And I already showed you that Jenkins only played three 40+ minute games averaging 16.7/5.3/9.

You only bring up mid March to show that they were almost 0.500.

I could do this all day. It feels like I already have. :(

Hmm sorry, no lies there big guy... in that exact post I mentioned they were only 3 games under .500 in March... that was 18-21... and that was with exactly 27 games to go. Sorry I did not realize you were going to go ballistic or I would have laid out every single detail piece by piece right off the bat.

And its really funny that you ripped me for the "27" number, then quickly go "I CAME UP WITH 27!!!" when I remind that 27 was when Ellis was traded.

I mean... wow... I dont know what to say at this point. You wanna keep making stuff up or get back on topic... or maybe just let this finally die and admit we have a difference of opinion?

You can say the Warriors did not tank, I look at the way their "talent" was utilized down the stretch... and I gotta respectfully disagree. If you wanna rehash the small details go back and look at the thread or PM me, I dont wanna bore the rest of the forum with our disagreement.

But its commendable that you feel organizations do their utmost to win every single game, even when it is obviously in their best interest not to.

Disproven? How did you do that without any facts or evidence to do this? You seem confused about everything that was told and presented to you. :(

My favorite part was when you seemed confused that GS went from almost 500 to bad starting in mid March, but failed to mention that they traded Ellis(21 points/game) on March 13th, and received an injured Bogut. :nonono:

But if you want to continue to ignore the real reasons why things happened the way it did, I'll have to continue to research them for you. I would just prefer that you do your own research before you comment, but it does make it easier to counter.

I'm still waiting to hear the reason M Jackson purposely threw games so soon in his head coaching career.

Here is where I bring up the Ellis trade, not you. I even say you fail to mention it.

It was injuries, dude.

lol,     That is wonderful.

Now... did I ever dispute you bringing up Ellis first? No. In fact... after seeing you quickly foam at the mouth for someone daring to talk of tanking I said:

Then you followed up with several posts on the topic. Again... I didnt realize you were about to go ballistic and that for some reason stuff only counts if I say it first.

And none of this makes trading your top scorer while you're a few games under .500 for a dude who is out for the season any less bizarre.

At least... in my opinion. But... as discussed... we have a difference of opinion, maybe you should just accept that.

In fact... we are now debating about the debate. This is beyond silly.

I am sorry if I get your goat. Rehashing the same stuff but from different points of view went no where several months ago, its going no where now. We clearly disagree... strongly, on this issue.

I hope you accept that we just have a difference of opinion here.

Good bump. You should bump the thread on the Sixers board too :)

Return to Phoenix Suns
