Clippers Tell Jamison They're Waiting On Odom

According to Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times, one source says the Clippers have notified free agent forward Antawn Jamison that they are waiting for an answer from Lamar Odom, who is the more preferred target of the two at this point. The team is willing to offer the veteran's minimum of $1.4MM, and although Odom would prefer more money, no other NBA team has made a higher offer (Twitter links). In addition to a strong recommendation from Vinny Del Negro, Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports tweets that head coach Doc Rivers is patiently waiting to sign the 6'10 forward after getting rave reviews of how great of a teammate he is.

Fits Ireland saying odom is wanted by them and the lakers also would be interested in him coming and have kept a spot open for him

i dont want Jamison no where near this roster at this point. Why add another person who doesnt play/ or cant play any defense. His offensive contributions dont cover for his defensive liabilities. We need a rebounder and defender at the 4 position. At this point do we consider bringing in James Johnson fellas? At least his specialty is playing defense. We have enough offense

Kaman and Hill are really centers. Jamison in a backup role for the vets min wouldnt hurt us.

LO would be a much more significant piece to the Lakers than he would be to the Clips.
He was kind of lost in the mix last year.
With the Lakers, he would be an important piece and glue.
But I think he is holding out for the team that gives him the most $

Wes Johnson, Kelly, Young, Jordan Hill look like the players who will play mins at the PF position... LOL knowing Mike D he may play Farmar at the PF for some mins j/k. I just dont see how Jamison helps us more than hurts us.

Jamison helped this team last year post all star break. He was a double digit scorer in the second half. He also is still more durable than Hill or banking on Kelly with that bum foot

Jamison has more professionalism and game left in him than Odom. LO has achieved it all, he's barely shown any motivation since leaving Lakers but I'm happy if the Slippers make the wrong choice here.
