Post#1 » by Nicky Nix Nook » Fri Aug 16, 2013 10:00 pm

Carmichael Dave ‏@CarmichaelDave 10m
The FPPC is expected to name CHRIS HANSEN as the Loeb and Loeb source at a press conference today at 4pm.

Stand by.

Grant Napear will cover this more in depth on his show today.

Bad news for Seattle basketball fans.

Will update when I/someone has more info.

Wow, just wow. This will be the first lesson on how to never become an NBA owner. Hansen was close too. Sorry Seattle fans.

Wow. I didn't think there was anyone I could respect less than the Maloofs, but now they've been outdone! What a scumbag and Seattle worships this guy. Before I didn't care if the Sonics came back, but now I hope they never do and it looks like I'll get my wish.

EDIT: I take back what I said about not wanting the Sonics to return, but I do hope that that scumbag Hansen is not involved in any shape or form.

The Maloofs should start a business up in Seattle with the wealth they've regained from the sale. There's no better place for scumbags to get showered with adoration.

I wish Seattle a NBA team with the Maloofs at 51% of the ownership.

I always wondered why the Seattle Group chose to enter into this agreement with the Maloofs WITHOUT any guarantee they were getting the team. This is an example of how far they had to go anyway.

HAHA.

I can't wait to hear what an honorable man Chris Hansen is from Seattle fans, and how he's not Clay Bennett 2.0

What a joke of a man. I hope he isn't allowed into the NBA family for the rest of his life.

(-30,080,000)

Don't let the door hit you on your way out, bozo.

Btw I LOVE how the misinformed folks up in Seattle are still spewing the same false bull mantra about us not having the land to build an arena.

Could someone please tell them we've had all the land to build an arena since before the NBA rejected their pathetic hostile takeover attempt over our team, and the last parcel is merely for wiggle room and development surrounding the potential arena?

How can a group a people be so wrong, time - and time - and time - and time - and time - and time again, and STILL think they know everything about everything in the world in their own smug little way.

You gotta laugh at some of these guys, now in retrospect even more then before

I dropped that knowledge on them on the GB not too long ago.

One has to wonder how NBA Owners will react to the news of Hansen's attempt to foil plans the NBA has made with Sacramento. Cant see how that will be received in a positive light for Hansen.

Seriously Seattle fans don't want to be informed. They just want to be mad.

I just want to know if there will be anything formal handed down to the Hansen group? A potential owner trying to block another owner from getting a stadium is a reason to be kicked out the players club.

Hopefully by not allowing him to own an NBA team in his lifetime.

That snake doesn't deserve to enter the club.

I want to know too. What owner would allow a guy in their club who has shown that he isn't above sabotaging potential colleagues? He hurt one franchise, so now there's nothing to suggest that he won't do it to others and damages the entire league. Having money is important in the NBA, but you also have to show that you play nice with others. Hansen has repeatedly failed at the latter. It’s one thing to be a ruthless businessman against competing companies, but you’re not necessarily competing against the other owners in a sports league. The success of one franchise depends on the health of the entire league, and that logic is why we won. Hansen and Seattle have shown that they’re only out for themselves. Vivek and us in Sacramento are out for ourselves and the league as a whole. We’re partners with the NBA.

Also it's a real shame for the fans in Seattle. As far as I can tell, he's been really the only guy who has done anything to bring back the Sonics since they left in 2008. Seattle has a lot of rich guys, but it looks like most couldn't give a crap, and Ballmer just seems like the dude with the checkbook, but hasn't really been involved beyond that. I have a feeling that if Hansen is out of picture (and he deserves to be), so will any effort to bring the Sonics back. Oh well.

I am not interested in the expansion/Seattle piece. It is clear their leadership had no intention in a good faith negotiation. This has been a hostile takeover attempt.

It failed.

This makes it that much harder to feel any sympathy for that fan base. You can show them the smoking gun and they will question whether or not the gun is real.
